Your chances out of 10 will probably be 3! Because you do not have any ties to Nigeria

Hello house,
please this is very urgent, I submitted my application at the UK office at VI on Tuesday and also did my biometrics, I applied for a tier2 dependent visa of which my husband is the sponsor, the kind of visa I applied for is usually called Tier2 PBS or categorized under work visa l, but when I got to the office, I was told all my original documents which I brought that were not in A4 paper size should be photocopied to that size e.g my marriage certificate and our wedding pictures, I later got an email from TLScontact asking me to create an account, which I did and when I logged in, I realized I was registered on their website for visitors visa less than 6 months and that wasn't what I applied for, and i dont want to get refused due to their mistake,please what can I do? I don't want to get refused,and would I still need to post the original documents to UKVI?PS. I still have his statement of account and other original documents with me. Please I need your help before it's too late. Thank you

What matter is that you select the correct visa category on the online application form and have paid the appropriate visa fee. Yes all supporting documents must be in A4 size either original or photocopied.

How about her parents in Nigeria because I have a cousin who was exactly in her shoes last year and he got the visa , his dad was his sponsor. TBH they look at these applications from different perspectives so you can’t authoritatively say this is your chance or that is your chance because you’ll be shook when someone who you think can’t be granted is granted visa

The OP has about her chances and I have given my opinion based on OP submission (reliance on a UK based sponsor and no ecomonic ties to Nigeria) The OP is free to either take it or not!

April 17th got a mail from Sheffield, saying application ready for consideration.
April 24th got another from Sheffield saying application not straight froward...blah blah blah
This night April 26th got am Email from TLS that application ready for collection.
Two repeated email for 2 applicants out of 3 applicants....
I applied in Ikeja VAC
I can't just understand.....
Any idea from anybody or same experience.

Yommieyomi:
My people, is there any hope for someone who received an email saying 'application not straight forward' from Sheffield after 13 working days of applying?
Please share your experience.

If she has travel history to other good countries it may help , but it’s a 50/50 , those ECO’s can be funny .
I’ve submitted in two occasions and the ECO called me to clarify some information I provided and I was still granted the visa , I can bet if it were a first timer theperson will be explaining herself in the appeal after refusal

Hello my people in the house.I need your advice. My dad is British citizen. I’m in my early 20s living a nigeria. Is it possible for me to get a settlement visa easily, through his link? Thanks

If you are a person who was born before July 1, 2006 and:

Had your parents been married you would have automatically become a British citizen under the British Nationality Act of 1981;
Had your parents been married, you would currently have had an entitlement to registration under the provisions of the British Nationality Act of 1981;

As of April 6, 2015, if you do not have British citizenship but your father was a British citizen, your parents never married, and you were born before July 1, 2006, you will now have the possibility of acquiring British citizenship. Before July 1, 2006, if your father was a British citizen but your parents never married, you could not obtain British citizenship through your father. As of July 1, 2006 the law was modified to allow those born to a British father and with parents that had never married, to acquire British citizenship through their father

Please house i need your help and contributions as to what to do next, i had my Bio metrics (Ikeja TLS) on the 14th of march. got a mail from the UKVI that my application is being prepared to be considered on the 22nd of march. i haven't received any mail either from TLS or the visa office, TLS website is indicating a decision has not been taking ,

I decided to call the UKVI directly on 3 different occasion, i got the same response" A decision has been made a long time ago" and that i should contact TLS, i have also been to TLS office severally and they keep telling me my passport hasn't arrive yet and that i should wait for there mail.

its over 30 working days and there is no trace of my passport, what do you advise i do at this stage? i am considering legal actions.

i have a feeling my passport has been mutilated or has been misplaced.

Make your parents the sponsor, show them evidence that you have graduated, do you have travel history?

Do you have any evidence like an email from UKIV that a decision has been made and that your passport have been sent to TLS? If so I would advise that go to the british High Commission in VI to make enquire.

TLS are responsible for sending mail as per decision, but they confirm that through voice calls, on three different occasions. maybe i should try the British high commission.

Go to UKVI website. There is a link that allow you to make enquire about the status of your application from outside the UK. All you need is to provide your application reference number, email address and date of birth. They will respond within 24 hours via email.

Today I visited the TLS to pick up passport for my children, thank God it was positive.
2 years granted to both them.
Thank God and thank everyone.
But most importantly; this people send wrong emails to us,we should only cliff to God and work on advise from the experts here.

Hello House,i have a valid 6months UK visa. i intend flying from Lagos to Edinburgh via Turkish airline.Do i need Turkey transit visa?
No buddy u don't need a Turkish transit visa because your valid UK visa covers that. However on your way back to Nigeria u will most likely sleep over in Turkey due to long layover. So if u don't want to sleep at the airport till the following day u are free to apply for Turkey visit visa at the airport. Have your debit card with you. Once u get the visa proceed to immigration for entry stamping, after that locate the Turkish airlines hotel desk and request for a reservation. The airline will lodge u in a hotel free or charge and still bring u back to the airport the following day for your flight home. Gd luck.
