tolfa:

if am not mistaken read @glitteringstar or @ethelia posts I think one of them used nysc experience as their NOC.....for number 2 you get reference letter for that alone

Thanks Tolfa. GlitteringStar used NYSC as well. I will make more inquiries.

Update. I have been able to contact someone at the Ministry willing to help with a reference letter. Can someone please help with further details of the format required? I know it has to include the period of employment, work hours, annual income, and job description. Am I missing anything?
For the period of employment, do I need to put exact dates? Or I could just leave it as August 2014 - July 2015? Also, should the letter state that I was working there as part of the NYSC scheme? Or should it just be portrayed as a regular employment? I was thinking of adding both my NYSC pay and MOE pay to show annual income. Is this appropriate?

Thanks a lot for your help!

If you have to do this anyways, use your nysc and some others to help you get 3 years and thus maximum points.

Thanks cochtrane.

Yes, I will use the NYSC.

@GlitteringStar, @cochtrane: Please pardon me, I have one more inquiry. Just to confirm this scenario, if I have have more than 3 years work experience in only one NOC where:

1. Company A: 1-year NYSC (NOC Code 4121)
2. Company B: 11 months (with NOC code 4121)
3. Company C: 7 months (with NOC code 4121)
4. Company D: 10 months (with NOC code 4121)

Since my work experience is in only one NOC (4121);

1. In my EE profile under work history, I will add all the four (4) jobs as stated above.
2. Because I intend to use NYSC only, will I need to submit reference letters for NYSC only (from Company A only)? Or I still need to submit references for ALL jobs as they are all in the same NOC?

Thank you ALL.

Hiyee.
If u intend to use only NYSC, then put only d nysc job under work history in d EE profile. That way, u will get only 1 placeholder to upload reference If/when u receive ITA. But in d post ITA form, u will have to fill in d rest jobs under your personal history....no reference would be required then.

CONGRATS....I will suggest you request for an extension cos am not sure you will get your passport back before your spouse travel to France...another thing consider the training duration when requesting for extension...I have read you can get up to 45 days....

Hello, the cost of requesting a transcript from Unilag has been increased to 25k (5k for transcript & 20k for courier to canada).
Kindly check the school website. It's written boldly on the site.
Thanks.
Taike:
Has anyone requested a transcript from Unilag recently? Their website doesn't show the cost of delivery to Canada. I just wanna know if it's still the same N16k that it was 3 years ago.

Where on the website pls? Is it this link?http://transcripts.unilag.edu.ng/pdf/

The courier field here is completely blank. Kindly clarify if there’s a different link for transcript information. I haven’t been able to find any. Thank you.

Hello sis, u have to weigh your options.
Which is more important to u? The trip or d visa?

You could also call/email Ghana for an extension. Copy Ottawa in d email. U have from now till 10th to wait a response.....
If u don't get an extension, then u may choose to cancel d trip

If I remember correctly, @ Cochtrane had a similar issue...ask him.

I was thinking the exact same thing...Ask yourself if a trip to France(3-5 days most likely) is more important than a lifetime in Canny.. grin

The paradox is that the estacode obtainable from same trip to France may help reduce the financial burden of the Canny trip

Maybe that 3-5 days in France worth much more than just entering Canny as PR and then start pursuing $30 - $40/hr (even if he gets that).

Hello cochtrane, you are doing a nice job. Please, what is the best way to move POF, which is in naira to canada, considering the difficulty in getting dollars in Nigeria at official rate? I will appreciate your feedback.

If you want to use NYSC only, you'll be able to claim just 1 year experience under your NOC. The rest will go into personal history which count for no points. If you want to claim the full 3 years, you'll need to enter the four jobs under work history and make sure to get a work experience letter for the four jobs. This means you'll be uploading four letters. You need to also make sure the work experience letters clearly spell out the functions related to the NOC you are claiming.

Experienced members of this thread, I need your help.
I have HDN and OND in accountancy from a Nigerian Polytechnic but do not have a corresponding work experience. I own a computer center where we do graphic design and online registration of various forms.

Can I apply for express entry with this profile.
Waiting for a reply.

You'll find the best answers, if you ask your question here on this thread. I'd guess it's a combination of different methods. But I doubt you can have all your money exchanged to dollars at the official rate, if you don't have dollars already.

Evalute all, if you can, or just your OND & HND so you can earn more points with 'Two or more certificates'.

WES should be fast abeg...lemme jump into the pool and know what next.

Aloha . From what you have listed you can only use your NYSC. This is bcus you dont have up to one year with same employer in ur other jobs. According to cic's requirement, ur job role must b with the same employer under same noc for at least a year. You cannot claim points by combining NOCs. Only CEC applicants can. I confirmed from cic
