It's good if you test her because that's someone he's gonna spend the rest of his life with.

What he did is a preparation for the unknown because if he hadn't done that he'd have thought the lady loves him and will spend the rest of her life with him despite situations arising but it seems the lady was only interested in his cash for she to dump her fiance simply because he lost his job(which was test).

In reality, let's say he didn't test her and they got married then he really loses his job then she's gonna file for divorce.

From my observations I can assert that the lady isn't financially okay even if she's employed herself.
