[quote author=clow post=67302765]Good afternoon house pls a quick one, I. Just got my ielts result listening 8.5 speaking 8.0 reading 7.5 and writing 6.5... is this result ok for the process, can I proceed with this? Thanks[/quot

wow. that would have been an awesome result ...you need at least a 7.0 in writing. I would suggest a remark. it's worth a try cos the other scores are top-notch. but you would need a healthy dose of patience. if you have money, register another exam while u apply for a remark. cheers.

Hi guys, so I called Qlink(QL) and Children Practice (CP) yesterday.
CP is N28,050 flat irrespective of the age and you can walk in 8am to 10am week days while QL is N28K adult and 20K children. Closest booking for QL is 23rd so if you feel you are ready and have all documents you can book and get a space depending on your family size.

Org don't give reference so I intend using my offer letter, promotion letters, payslips and write an Loe then notorize it. Any suggestion?

Awww. never say never!! my advice to you both is that you should take some time off the exams and study . the exams are all about following instructions, having a good sense of timing, total focus and serious preparation with past questions to know the format. I aced mine in the second attempt. don't worry. give yourselves a month again but study everyday!!!!!!!!!!!!

Na wa for me oooooo. My score is very very low, despite my preparations.

My Own ielts result with BC:L 4.5,R 4, W 5.5, S 6.5 and My Hubby: L 4.5,R 5, W 5.5, S 7

Thank you for the updated info. Please does any of the hospitals referenced open on Saturdays?

I have read from Canada visa that you can also attach a notarized personal reference from a colleague or supervisor to make a stronger case ( though for my company, such staff can lose their jobs for providing the reference... Evil HR). Anything to prove your work experience goes cos the burden rests with the applicant

Hello everyone. I always learn new things each time I read this thread. Thanks for all the information.
Please does anyone have an idea the exchange rate the Canadian embassy uses to calculate proof of funds. I was planning on going with my wife but now she is pregnant. That means I have to cough up additional 4000CAD according to CIC requirement. I want to know so I can decide whether to change her to non-accompanying.

You can go to www.xe.com or www.oando.com and use the currency calculator there.

Thanks a lot. It appears I might have enough for a family of 3 if I don't touch everything I have right now smiley smiley... But with a baby on the way? God will see me through. Can't bear the thought of missing out on my first child growing up. We are going together.

So guys I am in a salon and I met a woman who is an agent for Canadian immigration in fact she said she is a consultant . So she has been marketing herself and she told someone here that consultation is N25k and it lasts for 30 minutes only. I am shocked at the number of people that have called to book an appointment with her as her phone is constantly ringing

I am like shey these people have never heard about this thread

I honestly didn’t want to announce my PPR until COPR/VISA was ready but somehow, unknowingly, the mail I got yesterday announced itself.

Timeline:

WES: Feb 2017
3RD IELTS results rolled out on Jan 19, 2018 gave me the required boost to clinch ITA at 444. Went to BC Ikoyi office the next working day a Monday Jan 22 to pick up my TRF sharply and updated my profile same day. Got ITA two days later.
ITA: Jan 24 2018
Travel History: None o. Original greenhorn grin grin
Acknowledgement of Receipt: 06 March 2018
Medical Passed: 12 March 2018
Background Check: (NA1) (IP1), (NA2), (IP2) bla bla….. I wasn’t keeping track of the dates so I really don’t know how it moved
Additional Document Request: None
Passport Request (PPR): 3 May 2018

POF: Hubby’s PFA and mine, Treasury bill and cash at bank ie SOA.
Reference letter from former employer: Got reference from former employer(2nd employer acquired my 1st place of employment, so years spent in both places was stated)
Current place of employment doesn’t issue such letter for current serving employees so I prepared LOE to this effect. I wrote my job functions on a plain paper, notarized it and it was the lawyer that signed, attached supporting documents (ID card, Offer/promotion letter, pay slips, tax card, appraisals, call card).

Can’t give myself a pat on the back now it cos relocation requires planning, planning and planning. @newmum0615 ….. I am always looking out for your announcement anytime I’m on this tread. It will come very soon by His grace. Amen

Daz all

Congratulations to you. Please I'd like to know if the Statement of Account of RSA was what you used or you requested for a letter from the PFA in addition

I never included the Request form in the three different transcripts from three schools that I evaluated.
Although I used WES

cmoney22222:
thanks for the quote sir, but 2 people here confirmed that the transcript will be accepted without the Request form... Have you had any issue like this sir? so i know what to do

Lol POF will be required for both accompanying and non accompanying family members. Congrats on the upcoming addition. It's good news don't worry money will come.

Good afternoon all.

Please I need an urgent help. I want to add a different certificate to my WES profile after I have made payment.

Can that still work?

If yes what do I do?

PS: The evaluation is not yet complete at the moment.

Thanks for the help.
