At the beginning of the season, he was rotating with Marcus and fought to nail down his place and he did which brought great joy to me because i felt he was now maturing and learnin to fight. Come december and january Lingard was in unplayable form and by the end of january, Sanchez arrived and a player had to be dropped. Now see Alexis at the initial stages. He didn‘t quite gel wit the team but u could see he was constantly trying to grab the game. He would loose the ball countless times but still trying his best.i would continue until he left that pitch. When a player applies himself like that you just know that its only a matter of time until everything will click and once it does that player rises a level. For example, Jesse Lingard.

You can watch Greizmann in the UEL first leg vs Arsenal how many touches of the ball did he have in arsenal‘s half? His teammates were just mislacing passes but he didnt stop making his runs and eventually one chance came and he was there to pounce on it.
