I think you should go with BC cos remark (writing) with IDP is a risky burger and they can like to give most people 6.5

I'm scared, I'm contemplating seeking a remark with MOD/IDP for my writing which is 6.5.

Anyone here in this forum that has gotten favorable upgrade with MOD writing score? If it is true that MOD don't forward their EOR to the British Council/IDP headoffice as contained in their EOR form... Na me go spoil their market.... I will post it glaring to the whole world to see the kind of fraud they are committing

I applied for EOR (BC), my score got increased and the date changed. Hope this helps.

Emmasonic4me:

Maybe people that have gone for EOR before should confirm if there's any change in date on the new TRF issued after remark when it's reprinted. If thats the case, then it can be used to ascertain if they actually sent it for re-evaluation or not.

Funny enough, a friend of mine living in the UK, shared that same twitter news with me this morning. Someone I'd been encouraging to leave his uncertain status there in the UK to come live the Canadian dream as a PR and subsequently as a citizen in half the number of years he has spent in the UK without a reasonable footing. I was disappointed at his audacity to try to dissuade me from this beautiful opportunity. My reply to him below:

Reply 1: This lady just spewed thrash right there my brother. If she knows not, let her indicate that she knows not and then be taught.

No fewer than 15 of my close friends, colleagues and ex colleagues have been in various provinces in Canada on PR visa and boy, these guys are living the Canadian dream. Did they face challenges upon arrival? Yes! Did they have to work real hard on fitting into the system? Absolutely! Do they wish to return back to their 500k-700k jobs in Nigeria? Not in this life or the next.

Being a happy Canadian PR through express entry transcends just landing a "fantastic" job. Why didn't the poster make mention of the efficiently functional system that makes a mess of what we are used to back home? As far as I'm concerned, the poster is being grossly negative. This is an opportunity of a lifetime to become a citizen of a G8 country where your future and that of your children is well accounted for while coming from a third world country that is bereft of hunger, crime, poverty, crass corruption, failed judicial and political system, hyperinflation, high unemployment rate, epileptic to zero power, nonexistent transportation system, abuse of human rights, unsure future for the kids of today to name but a few. This is utter madness and a myopic line of thought to say the least. I believe this ill-informed poster should keep shut and learn the basics first.

In summary, she can choose to stay back and continue to provide herself with electricity, security, water, good education, etc. while those who wish to go and "suffer" in Canada suit themselves

Reply 2: One thing people like the poster fail to understand is that you don't just walk into an efficient system that's a far cry from your prior orientation and fit in seamlessly. There has to be some degree of struggle but it differs from person to person.

You know what? Unlike where we come from, the system is ever ready to support you, recognize and reward your struggles. Did you know that a person earning the Canadian minimum wage would lead a very normal life with a decent apartment and small car, depending on his/her propensity to spend/save?

I have NEVER seen any Canadian PR from Nigeria that I know to be hardworking, smart and determined that isn't living very comfortably in Canada. The least of them earns about $Bleep per annum but had to start with a $Bleep per annum job. It wasn't the same with the others I know.

If anyone seeks my advise, I'd tell them to grab Canada with both hands immediately until we get it right as a country. I wish I could have some time aside with that poster sha. She obviously needs to be schooled a bit

Just know that people who are too scared to take this leap need some level of comforting justification for their faint heartedness by trying to cajole YOU and ME into settling for less. Of course, less in this context couldn't have been Canada.

You deserve some accolades @mcstan18. Infact I am saving the first reply for my friends that will ask me questions when I am about to leave Nigeria. This journey is not for only me.. it is most especially for my kids! For all our kids.. we owe it to them.

Like I said, I need the email address of IDP Australia, all this rubbish about EOR not getting to British Council/IDP most stop by fire by force. In the EOR form-7 it is clearly stated that a senior IELTS official will review the script and award mark, that is why British Council EOR is remarked and most often than not there is visible changes and upgrade. However, MOD is suppose to forward their candidates EOR to British Council or IDP in Middle East (which I believe is their reporting center), could it be that these Arabs are conniving with MOD to fleece student NGN 46k?

My sister, change your own listening to 8, the scores will be better, though Oga has good IELTS score, his age will drastically reduce the points. Do you also have a Master's degree? If you do , you can be the primary applicant with better listening scores, the points will be higher, Oga will give you the maximum 30 that a spouse without Canadian experience/education can give.

Thank you so much for your response. I actually did a trial using me as the principal applicant and the difference in scores was just 2. Probably because I don't have a second degree.

I filled using the highest range for myself in the ielts scores.

Phew! It is well

Oh Nigerian youths. Please think, think again before you leave for that canada whether it's really worth it or not. The opportunity you are looking for is right here, but which millions of Nigerians are too blind to see. Abuse me if you like but you won't say I didn't tell you. If I were Nigerian youths, especially the professionals, I would research into what makes a chinese guy or an indian man come to our own country with a shirt and a pair of trousers but by the time he's going back, he's a rich man. He still uses your brain to make his millions, amazing lol. Please ejowo, bikonu, du alah, think twice
