This man is trying but if the government can do a general overhaul on the entire security situation in the country crimes like this will stop automatically when i mean overhaul i mean it on the large scale knowing every single one of us in this country (bvn can be used to achieve that) and also involve the private security firms in the whole process that will reduce crimes to the barest minimum .The police force cant do it alone .If everything goes a bit computerised criminal elements like evans wont be on the run for so long .So it is really difficult job for this man when you cant even verify a suspects real name on the spot of arrest or making statement.(i cant but imagine evans was arrested in Lagos for armed robbery some years back his case was transferred to Imo and he was freed ) we have a long way to go.

It is just a pity that we lack creativity coupled with poor system. Nothing stops the Nigeria Police to let the guy selects few guys in the force and start coaching them and be their role model.
I know he heads a team. He does not work alone. The question is will they want to learn from him? Nigeria factor of not wanting to be patience but want to make it quick may come to play. For Abba Kiari, he has paid his dues.

The same nairaland provides pm button. You are just not interested in meeting people here, stop hiding under nairaland rule. You might have even deactivated your nairaland pm button. Why not say your opinion instead of using nairaland as a cover.

DSS is secretive, that's why you hardly know what they are doing. They chose to go partially overt in their operations, when their trust for the overt security agencies sunk to its lowest level.
That's what it is supposed to be. But eh do you know how I knew of their new base in Enugu? Tar21 wielding funny dressed young men monkeying around a gate. Lol.

Look around you and tell me their operatives really are secret.

I still stick by rule No. 22 of Nairaland, which even prohibits members from asking other members for their contact details. If I report you now, you'll definitely receive a ban grin

Its either Abba Kyari paid that mofo to come up with that story or the thief who stole the phone was still rocking it with the sim card.

No how boys wey sabi go move your phone and you go see am back.....phones way dem snatch for street before 9am don enter computer village by 2pm and gets a new owner by 5pm.

So I think this is just a mere publicity stunt....

Good job for the Evans bust tho....but Niggga gotta chill on this photo trends and shiiiiit
very easy to track stolen electronics if you're a police man

A man has nothing but words of praises for Abba Kyari, Nigeria's crime buster and the youngest deputy commissioner of police, DCP, in the country after his recent promotion. The President Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria CRAN, Sunday Odita took to social media to reveal the day his respect for Abba Kyari multiplied.

Read below;

“An Honour Well Deserved: The brain behind the end of the reign of notorious armed robbers who terrorised the southwest, Abbey Godogodo, China and billionaire kidnap-for-ransom kingpin, Evans Chukwudumeme, Abba Kyari is now a Deputy Commissioner of Police. As a reporter on the Crime/Police Affairs/Security and allied beat, i can tell you that this cop is among the very very few police officers who are shining light.

The day my respect for him trippled was the day i just reported to him that my colleagues phone worth over 200k was stolen at an event in Lagos in 2017.

He asked me to snap the pack of the phone and send to his whatsapp. Few days later, he sent me the picture of the suspect and the phone. My colleague who is now resident in USA was shocked. The phone thieve was paraded and DCP Kyari did not ask for 10kobo for a successful job done.

This is one among many cases i reported to him and the victims got justice. DCP Kyari, i am not from the north but i see you as a a brother from another mother and a role model to young people from every tribe in this country.

My desire and desire of many is that you get to the peak of your career and the first task i will give you when that time comes is to make qualification to constable cadre OND and fight to make an average police constable earn what a cleaner in NNPC, NIMASA and NPA is earning. Accept my very sincere congratulations great Cop.

Report me and where I asked for your contact. What would I need your contact for? You must have mistaken me for the person who asked for your contact.
What I was telling you is that you should have told the person that you are not looking for friends on nairaland instead of hiding under nairaland's rule 22. How hard is that difficult for you to understand?

In that case, yours was an unsolicited contribution. Quit
