Mod , abeg ban OP.

He broke the rules, this thread should be in the fiction and literature section, not cartalk this kind post is acceptable in romance section self .

Doing 90mph on Nigerian road is suicidal imho
If you are heading to Damaturu/Maiduguri,immediately you get to d outskirts of Jos and cross Toro town,if you aren't conscious of your speed , you will get to 130m/h sef.
Road is flat, smooth and so straight you can see 5km ahead of you.

You're a brain-dead nematode not only for thinking I'm running down IVM, but also for daring to compare Chinese sub-standard products to German machines.

Maybe if Innoson had chosen to do business with Bmw, Benz & Audi instead of GAC, I just might have considered trying out his products.

No bastard can ever blackmail me into buying any fake chinese copy-cat models. If it ain't Bmw, Benz, Audi & VW - then count me out!

Picture 1: Chinese GAC G5

Picture 2: Innoson G5

Now, tell me the difference! grin cheesy grin

If you don't have anything sensible to say just close your mouth. Nobody asked you to buy anything and nobody is blackmailing you.
The pictures posted might have a little semblance, but does that make them the same?.
The German machines you mentioned started small and evolved gradually. IVM started well and would surely compete with them over time. The Chinese you easily open your mouth to castigate are one of the economic and industrial forces to be reckoned with and your so called masters are afraid of them.
Talking about poverty of the mind and soul!
Liberate yourself dude and embrace your own. Like it or not, IVM has come to stay!

The problem is am sure you have not really seen an IVM,talk more of haven driven one.
All Car manufacturers adapts to all these you noted above including IVM.
When it comes to cars, you have the liberty of choosing your specs and going for it and of course budget also comes into play.
Coming to your so called big three, I wonder why they are not even among the five highest selling brands world wide?
Do the research and maybe you will get to know that nobody cares for brands anymore. It's all about specs and budgets and IVM would go places as they seem to have keyed in on it.

For the last two years, the VW group has sold the highest number of new cars globally. beating even Toyota. So I hope the big 3 you mentioned do not include the VW group

So your boy wanted to hit Damaturu, Yobe State capital, yesterday.. I went to the park and I was shown where the vehicles going to Damaturu were.. Two vehicles were parked, a Sharon and 'Hiace hummer'. The Sharon guy was trying to convince me that, Sharon is fast, fills up quickly and balanced and Hiace guy told me the huge bags I carried along will not be charged, if I board his car. So naturally, I hopped into the Hiace and save #500..
The journey began and it was so smooth.. I looked into the car and saw balanced sit, balanced leg space and decent interior, I said to my self, Toyota really upgraded, 'may be na 2017 model we dey drive sef'.. I determined the speed of the vehicle using GPS and it was within 120-140 KM/H, what prompted me to check the speed was how we were busy dusting similar vehicles and even one Lexus Lx 450 ..
Overall, the car was stable, and the journey was smooth.. After hitting the state capital, I signaled the driver to drop me, which he did, when I was about getting my stuff from the vehicle, I saw IVM and made in Nigeria tag on car.. I was so amaze and felt proud as a black man.. I then got my stuffs and took my way..

Nigeria with 80Giga watts will surely see industrialization in our life time.

Favourable economic policies will encourage the likes IVM to triumph

Buy Naija to grow naija.. Enough said..

wtf did I just read? the driver disguised ivm as hiace or what? do they really look the same that much?

ivm may be good but comparing it to german cars is too much also sentimentally, we will want to support it since it is nigerian

on a northern state road, any car that is not stable, the manufacturer should be killed especially if it is a new car

I have checked their cars and I found out that it is full of plagiarism, copy and paste of popular brands just to attract customers isn't good, they should make their own designs

If only we can increase our patronage of our local products and stop overdependence on the Toyotas and Benzs of this world, IVM, even with our domestic market potential alone, would break boundaries in no time.

First off, I wish the government can make a law that forbids governments at all levels from buying any foreign made cars. I mean, why should our public office holders be cruising around with all manner of over expensive automobiles when we have our own products they can patronise from North to East to South West?

There's a mighty lot that needs to change in this country and from all indications, our policy makers have been sleeping on deck since the sixties!

Its worrying how Nigeria will ever develop when the bar is set so low, and the thinking is so provincial at this moment !

How does it make sense to open a thread to say that a relatively new vehicle works as intended?

"The car drove smoothly, the ac worked and the interior was decent "

WTF did you expect to see in a new vehicle? Plywood ?

I await the day when you people would open threads to showcase the IVM consumer vehicles you've bought...instead of opening thread to tell us that an innoson bus made in 2017 is better than a 4th hand 1996 Toyota Coaster bus.

Who told you Kano to Damaturu is dual carriageway? When was it turned into dual carriageway? For your information, there is only one dual carriageway in the North and it is the Abuja - Kano expressway

True talk bro, my cousin drives one of the IVM vehicles. Was in Abuja and had to borrow his vehicle and men,I felt like discarding my present car after the smooth and enjoyable drive. It's a brand being embraced by Nigerians and beyond.
Without a doubt, your car must be those without pedigree or that it is fast diminishing. I understand your campaign but we both know this part of your claim is exaggerated.

I believe you won't choose the most expensive IVM vehicle in Nigeria if a choice is put before you to choose between it and a classy Mercedes or a BMW car.

I agree. I don't drive one at the moment, maybe because I find them a bit more expensive.

But the government can encourage them by making it MANDATORY for public officials to use them as official vehicles. In this regard, such agencies like the FRSC and the Army has done quite well. But they need to do more.
