Lol. Not really but we share similar design patterns.
Especially ceremonial attire.
scholes0:
The groomsmen though.
They are dressed like Egbira people.
Are Egbiras and Etsakos linked?

As usual...igbos are always innocent. Everybody is always hating on them
Don't mind them. sad They keep using Yoruba girls as target practice, and they think those girls would not wise up to their antics. undecided Now that Yoruba girls and their families, know that Igbo guys will usually dump them to go and marry their fellow Igbo babes, those Yoruba girls have decided to avoid them, instead of becoming sitting ducks and getting their hearts broken. And one Igbo boy is now here lamenting about how Yoruba girls loathe them, instead of checking the antecedents of his brothers in this regard. Nansense! sad

You do not even know what you are saying. sad Look at what you said: "Yoruba women are mostly fed by their women...." Which women? huh This is the same petty propaganda and rubbbish fallacy, that your people have been recycling for years. Two of my cousin's female friends are married to Yoruba men. One of them paid school fees of my cousin's younger brother in the UK, and has taken care of his wife and her family till date, over the past 12 years. He is a pure Yoruba man...and to think she did not even want to marry him initially, because she wasn't too keen on him. The second Yoruba guy who married my second cousin is also highly responsible, and takes great care of his wife and kids. Even when my cousin decided to go into private business, he didn't blink and supported her in cash and kind. I have seen first hand how far Yoruba men can go in taking care of their families. So stop saying what you do not know. You are too old to be spreading petty propaganda, recycled from civil war period... undecided

Your sister can marry from the moon. Nobody cares.... sad Na una sabi.
U should know I made a mistake in the comment I made which input in quote.
And there is nothing like propaganda here.. All I said here are part of my experiences.

And the examples u gave are lame. " ur uncle paying some1 school fees" blq bla bla.
Ofcoz there will b exception..
But We are talking on greater percentage bases.

Senseless post. I know quit a couple of igbo women who feed their lazy igbo man.
Thats on rare cases.. Everybody knows igbo man takes care of their women very well.
I agree they might be a bit stingy if they haven't marry u that's becoz they ain't sure if u worth the spending. But once u become their wives.
U are on Christmas holiday till the end of ur life.

Even ur Yoruba sisters know this very well.
Ur parents at d one denying them igbomen.
Last last na themselves them the do shaa.

NIGHTMAREOO7:
Lols ur hypocrisy is out of this world.
U accused me of peddling lies.. But u are not peddling lies in ur own case abi.?

Let me tell u.. The reason igbomen dont marry Yoruba women apart from the yoruba parents bad advice is that Yoruba women have foul mouth the can insult for Africa which u know very well. An average Igbo man likes total respect. Which many Yoruba gals dont have.
Its even one of the reason some Yoruba men run away from them.

I have lived in Yoruba land for many years so I know what im talking about
I have also lived in Yoruba land for many years. sad I schooled, lived and worked in Yoruba land, and I am still there. undecided Igbo men do not marry Yoruba women, because they only use and dump such women who are not from their ethnic group. At the end, they run home to marry their fellow Igbo babes. Respect is key, in several Yoruba families, but do not think you can illtreat a Yoruba girl, and retain that respect. So don't even talk about respect, as the Yoruba people I know are custodians of respect, unlike your own guys. undecided

And if according to you, the Igbo man cannot marry a Yoruba girl because of the reasons that you earlier claimed, why were you lamenting that Yoruba women have unnatural loathing for Igbo men? Can you see why I called you a liar? huh

Wow neva knew about this merger stuff.. I have lived in ondo (ondo town area) but didn't stay for long. Thanks brah.
U be Yoruba?
Keep allowing that idiot to deceive you. I'm from Ondo myself and there's no merger here. Ijaw are 0.00001% of the population and they are yorubanised ijaw. Omoyele sowore of Sahara reporters is an example.

Yep the unnatural floating came from bad advice from a parents.
And to correct ur misjudgment..
Igbomen font treat Yoruba women badly..
Igboen are known to be the best care takes of their wives.. I'm not saying this becoz I'm igbo. But its a fact most people know.
Even some Yoruba ladies that are not tribalistic known this.
There is a topic I'm looking for here.. I'm.yet to locate it when I do, I will use it to prove ur assertions wrong.

Ibknqo u are a Yoruba man so stop sounding like u are not

Most Yoruba woman, like their men, have natural loathing and even some inherent hate which manifests as unnecesary antagonism towards igbo men. But Yoruba men love to marry igbo women especially the fair ones and the average igbo women dont naturally loath Yoruba men. Ofcourse there are exemptions to every rule so do give it a try if she is your spec.
You're partially right and partially wrong. Most ladies don't have tribal minds unlike we guys. Especially these days when everyone is mixed and educated in a civilised society. Love and compatibility is the important thing. The real issue is with parents. Some yoruba Parents have ethnic and tribal bias mind, if their daughter wants to marry another yoruba ethnic or entirely diff. tribe. Many Igbo guys would have loved to marry Yoruba girls, if not for parent problem. Yoruba men too love to marry Igbo girls too, but I think igbo parents still have more support for inter tribal marriage than some Yoruba parents.

We have the ijaws and also few ebiras in the akoko region in our midst. we are mixed in Ondo anyway and we don't have tribe issue. Infact some ondo (ondo town, ile - oluji and okeigbo) people and ogun state people don't meet talk more of talking marriage.
Stop talking nonsense. Akoko Edo is in Edo state. Ondo is a pure Yoruba state. Ijaw is minute and are found in some villages in the riverine south. Ebiras are not indegenous to Ondo state. It's like saying ibos too are found in Ondo. Akoko, Owo, Ondo, ikale are all dialects of Yoruba.

What dirty percentages? huh Did you conduct a survey among Yoruba communities from Lagos, to Ife, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Ilesha, Gbongan, Akure, Ondo, Ekiti, Itawure, Ile-Oluji, Shagamu, Okitipupa, Erin-Ile, Ogbomosho, Akungba-Akoko, Idanre, Owo, Ikire, Epe, Omu-aran etc before arriving at your conclusion or fake so-called percentages? Don't mind that guy. sad There is a huge Akoko community in Ondo state. From Ikare-Akoko, to Oka-Akoko, Akungba-Akoko etc. Out of the present 18 Local Government Councils in Ondo State, the Akokos occupy four, from Akoko North-East, Akoko North-West, Akoko South-East and Akoko South-West. They are a pure Yoruba group.

Don't deceive yourself, sista. undecided Most Igbo guys just prefer to use Yoruba girls, then dump them before running back to their ethnic group to marry their fellow Igbo women. Yoruba parents are aware of this, so they try to protect their daughters from making a mistake by not allowing them to tread this path, without caution. Too many of such stories happened, when I was in the university. They just won't admit it.

Yoruba parents value their daughters, so they won't just dash her out immediately to just any guy that shows up. sad They will first refuse, until they have studied the guy, gotten info about him and done a check on his background. But such practices are even dying out, these days. Like my Yoruba neighbour always says: "You cannot give up something you value, in a cheap manner, without a struggle."

Where did you get this absurd notion from? How many Yoruba girls have you dated to know for a fact that they loathe Igbo guys? This is really preposterous. For the fact that the few Yoruba girls you've approached turned you down, doesn't mean they automatically hate Igbo guys. Stop making it sound like Yoruba girls are tribalistic. Maybe you should check yourself though. They might not just be attracted to you, not necessarily that they hate Igbo guys.
What makes you think Yoruba guys hate Igbo guys? SMH. This is really funny though.
