I gave up at 5.30pm on 5 rides.. Traffic was hell.. Just zoomed to icm {to find a ride that takes me home} like I do everyday.. 1st time I'm missing d 6k in over 2 months..
Many people missed the 6k. Most likely drivers who were on the mainland. It was taxify's lucky day yesterday

I don't need loan, my brother. Why not give out one of your cars to that family friend of yours to remit 40k to you instead of requesting for cheap rentals for him/her from another partner.

Pls no fall my hand naw.

Don't you know that everybody invest with the intension of profiting from the investment. Leaving dru23 aside, if you invest 1.5m in this business, can you collect 25k as rent knowing fully well how much its going to cost you to service ur vehicle and the general maintenance. If you want to do charity nobody's stopping you but don't just be an hypocrite

How you handle your business is up to you. Some coy pay well while some pay penny yet employees are taking both jobs with different passion on the job

Same applies to drivers. 25k, 30k, 35K, 40k and 50k are the recent rentals going on. And drivers can chose to apply to anyone. But trust me, few drivers delivering 25 to 30k weeks started from partnering with 40 to 50k rentals and opt out when the get better offer.

I'm an investor, I drive myself and still I can't over work myself out of greed. Yet I can decide to over work another person to pay me more than I can earn myself but I dint cos it isn't fair .. myview (not imposing standard rental rate on any partner/driver)

Every Driver comes with baggages - be ready to hear stories from drivers on why payment isn't coming through or be ready to hear they popular 'I will pay it within the week'

Every guarantor comes with 'I didnot know he will act that way, I will speak to him ' den the chase starts...

Every police will want to chop inside the money when case is reported

So this circle keeps going round and round. Drivers switch and switch and keep switching.

So security deposit popped up and presently it's working magic ...

Soon guarantors will also be liable to a security deposit and life once again will stablize and we shall move lagos

Kudos Boss.

As Gazzuzz once suggested, maybe the next move would be collecting “Weekly Rental” ahead like they do in Benin (in Gazzuzz’s word).

Maybe one day, we will starting collecting weekly rental ahead like Landlords does every where in Nigeria.

House Rent is prepaid.

GSM Call Credit is prepaid.

PHCN Bill is prepaid (for people with Prepaid Meter).

BRT Transport fare is prepaid.

Internet Subscription is prepaid.

DSTV/GOTV is prepaid.

So agreed “Weekly Rental” can be PREPAID.

In the true sense weekly rental should be prepaid ... cuz u are 'renting' the car for a duration .. But since e-hailing came to be in nigeria reserve is the case.

The true picture is simple - drivers earnings isn't the partner bizness... what binds the partner and Driver is the Agreed Amount for Rent on the vehicle... so Yes I can actually put it daily, weekly or monthly rent on any vehicle.

don't wait 3months, a bad driver will always be a bad driver, Inspect your vehicle every week. Tony almost killed my kia rio, he damaged a tyre every week, was always having yellow paint on the front bumpers and fenders, and finally he drove into a barrier in an estate when it was in the closed position.

Thank God for insurance, I have fixed my car, and Tony is in the labour market looking for the next car.

My God!

Getting really scared of this business! Spend so much to get a car only for it to be cannibalised by some rather undisciplined, greedy and irresponsible individual.

Keeping my fingers crossed in my potential case.

I believe its time to be naming and shaming terrible drivers with terrible attitudes. Perhaps a dedicated site will be good. It will save people from dangerous drivers and make others sit up.
