Where is moses simon? I can place a bet that he will go to the world cup

we need a natural forward to compliment Ighalo. Simon is a winger and we have Musa, Moses victor, Iwobi to handle that.

I have seen him, nothing special and his goals stats not impressive until towards the tail end of the league,am seeing another Nwofor of Keshi's era.

Simy Nwankwo started shining under a new manager. The new manager might have helped the team to play in a way that suits him

Ideye Returns, Sadiq Umar, Dayo Ojo, Musa Muhammed, Nwakali Make Super Eagles Provisional List
May 14, 2018030

Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal some of the players who have made the 35 man provisional list of the senior national team of Nigeria for the World Cup 2018 in Russia.

There is a return for Brown Ideye who is currently on loan from Chinese side Tianjin Teda to recently ‎relegated Spanish LaLiga side Malaga. Ideye has been out of the squad for almost seven months but he now has the chance to make the final list for the World Cup.

Another player making a return to the squad after a close to two years absence from the team is on loan Istanbul Basaksehir full back Musa Mohammed who is presently turning out for Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

Sadiq Umar as first reported by this portal on our official twitter handle made the list, mainly due to his performance for NAC Breda where he spent the second half of the season on loan from Italian Serie A side Roma.

Umar who terminated his loan deal with Torino for the move to NAC Breda isn’t the only player included in the list who is yet to be capped as Sunshine Stars midfielder Dayo Ojo was al‎so included by coach Gernot Rohr.

Also on loan Manchester City midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali who has been on loan at Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen also made the provisional list, where he is joined by another Man City loanee in Olarewaju Kayode.

Kayode was included largely due to his strong showing for Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, where he moved to after an unhappy time in Spain with Girona in the first half of the season. Last week he lifted the Ukraine Cup with his team.

He has just one thing though.... "Monstrously intimidating height." At 1.95 m, headers from set pieces like FKs or CKs will come easily to him. Plus that frame can be a big foil upfront too for Players like Iheanacho, Iwobi and Moses to do great damage. All the same... Decision to take either 6 or 7 forwards lies with the gaffer.

The Super Eagles fan in me wants Echiejile dropped to be honest Sir AIG... His so called experience can be forgone because in Balogun, Ekong and Shehu we have experiemce too and leaders in that defence.
Also, Aina and Idowu at LB/LWB should do the job for us buuuutttttttt.....

The Analyst in me says otherwise... I know it won't be so straightforward as I have earlier said... Rohr's biggest decision lies in the Echiejile in or out question. And honestly the analyst in me cannot speak on what Rohr will do in this Echiejile matter. But I am hoping he makes the best choice here. That's all.

Injury is why Bazee is yet to debut for us even. So he was never in with a chance in the first place. Onyekuru based on his early season form and having already debuted for the Super Eagles was in with a shot but injury have spoiled his chances and he can only but wait till the Afcon 2019 qualifiers resume. He is still part of the team but for Russia, those names deserve the pick ahead of him.

You know my choices already Elder Sir.... You know... wink But I am not the one on the hot seat... It is Rohr. Between Echiejile and Aina, I know it will be tough to decide...

Echiejile's experience + his WC and afcon experience + longevity VS Aina's youth + Aina's successful English Championship campaign + Aina's speed and ability to attack

This will be tough for Rohr. It is simple for us because we are not on that seat. But Time will tell.

Truth be told, Echiejile has not had the best of seasons... He has been so dormant and poor for the most parts. While Aina have been active and growing in leaps and bounds. Let time decide and solve this little conundrum...

rohr and pinnick should approach this guy after the world cup. he is an amazing central midfielder

The ball is now in the court of Nigeria Football Federation as regards to capping highly-rated Huddersfield Town midfielder Philip Billing, with the Danish Football Association omitting the player from their provisional World Cup roster.

Denmark coach Age Hareide has not picked Billing in the provisional 35-man Denmark squad for this summer’s World Cup.

The 21-year-old central midfielder, who has Nigerian blood flowing in his veins, was born in Denmark and the Scandinavian country are ahead of the NFF in the race for his services as he caps for Denmark's U21 team, the last of which came against Austria U21s in an international friendly in March 2018.

Prior to his U21 debut against Faroe Islands in August 2017, he had played for Denmark's U19 national team against Norway.

Billing made 22 appearances in all competitions for Huddersfield Town in the just concluded season, scoring one goal against Rotherham United in the second round of the League Cup.

His teammates at Huddersfield goalkeeper Jonas Lossl and defender Mathias Jorgensen have been named to the roster.

Denmark Provisional Roster

Goalkeepers: Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester), Jonas Lossl (Huddersfield), Frederik Ronow (Brondby), Jesper Hansen (FC Midtjylland)

Defenders: Simon Kjaer (Sevilla), Andreas Christensen (Chelsea), Mathias Jorgensen (Huddersfield), Jannik Vestergaard (Borussia Moenchengladbach), Andreas Bjelland (Brentford), Henrik Dalsgaard (Brentford), Peter Ankersen (FC Copenhagen), Jens Stryger (Udinese), Riza Durmisi (Real Betis), Jonas Knudsen (Ipswich), Nicolai Boilesen (FC Copenhagen)

Midfielders: William Kvist (FC Copenhagen), Thomas Delaney (Werder Bremen), Lukas Lerager (Bordeaux), Lasse Schone (Ajax), Mike Jensen (Rosenborg), Christian Eriksen (Tottenham), Daniel Wass (Celta Vigo), Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Southampton), Mathias Jensen (FC Nordsjaelland), Michael Krohn-Dehli (Deportivo La Coruna), Robert Skov (FC Copenhagen)

SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF RUSSIA

A Visitor's Guide to Impressing Russian Women (To whom it may concern) grin

If you are not Russian and interested in dating a Russian girl, you may need a bit of an instruction manual. While the basic rules of dating etiquette obviously apply, there are a few quirks that Russian girls have that sometimes create conflict between girls from Russia and men from the West.

Of course, there are also several things that Russian women dislike about Russian men—which gives you the opportunity to play up your differences—but there are also some traits of Russian men that Russian girls actually do like, even if they may never admit it.

Knowing these preferences, you can pave yourself a much smoother path to attracting Russian girls during your visit to Russia.

Dress Nicely

Russian men tend to dress very simply, and once they’re in a relationship they can often forgo dressing well entirely and settle down into comfortable-meets-shabby gear. To impress her, do the opposite and dress sharply—not over-the-top, but look put together. Wear basics that are made of high-quality material, are relatively fashionable (e.g. no boot-cut light-wash denim and sneakers) and you’ll definitely be in her good books.

Be Assertive

Russian men can be almost aggressively assertive, and while you want to stay away from that end of the spectrum, you definitely don’t want to come off as indecisive or letting her make all the decisions. Keep it at a good balance, but especially at the beginning of a relationship, you want to make sure that you take control when necessary.

Decide where you’re going for dinner and then invite her there. Decide what you will be doing that day and then ask her to do it. Don’t call her up and say ‘what do you want to do?’. It’s not that Russian women don’t like to make decisions—in fact, in a lot of Russian relationships, women have the upper hand; it’s just that showing assertiveness shows that you’ll be able to match her decisiveness rather than leaving her to do all the work.

Be a Gentleman

Russian men are well-trained in chivalry, and no matter how modern your Russian girl is, you want to make sure you take care of her in the same way. This means picking up the bill at the restaurant without discussion, opening doors, giving up your seat on the metro, and always carrying everything except her purse (within reason of course).

Be Nice

This is an area where you can really shine against Russian men. Not to generalize too much, but many Russian men can be quite rough, and you can stand out by being considerate, compassionate, and generally making sure she’s comfortable, happy, and listened-to. Stay away from the stereotypical “nice-guy” territory—you don’t want to seem like a wimp—but listen to her and her wishes in a gallant way.

Navigate Gender Roles Carefully

Many Russian men are still stuck in a very traditional conception of gender roles, and it is a common assumption of Russian women that Western men are more accepting of women’s changing role in society. This means that you should be accepting of whichever way she decides to live her life—whether she wants to be a career woman, a homemaker, or a mix of both; never be dismissive of any of these lifestyle choices.

On a smaller scale, you can also demonstrate this by being willing to cook and clean—not expecting her to always do it as many Russian men do.

Buy Her Flowers

Finally, Russian men are famous for their affinity for giving flowers—in Russian society, flowers are bought for almost any festive occasion. Russian women will appreciate you bringing her bouquets on birthdays, celebrations, and once in a while, just because.

Nigeria Football Federation boss Amaju Pinnick has stated that they are doing everything possible to motivate the Super Eagles stars before their trip to Russia for the 2018 World Cup.

The Nigerian Federation have made a request to Fifa for an advance payment of 2.8 million dollars (around N1 billion) to pay the national team players their bonus for qualifying for the tournament in Russia and they will receive the money next week at the start of their training camp.

''We are going to give them luxury chartered from one point to the other during our friendlies, luxury accommodation which we have done. Everything that we need to do we have done,'' Pinnick told Channels Television.

''As I speak we are on the verge of raising 2.8 million dollars, as soon as they come we hand it over to them.

''I recall when we landed in London, Onazi came to me and said 'president you guys are setting us up, so you people just want us to take all the blame'.''

At the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the Super Eagles players boycotted a training session before the last sixteen clash against France so as to press home their demands for their unpaid World Cup appearance fee and the Nigeria Football Federation want to avoid these distractions in Russia.
