squeeze bitterleaf and put his hand inside the water from time to time, d bitterness no dey comot on time. If bitterleaf no available, use the yellow flagyl for him. Grind it and mix with water, dig that thumb inside from time to time.

I want to suggest a very drastic method. I grew up with a thumb sucker and I saw them try every method (including tying him up in a chair). Didn't work. What I do (because my kid likes to stick her fingers up her nose) is that I got a watergun (which actually looks like a gun) and I shoot her with it every time I catch her. I also shoot her and her brother when they scream at night, scatter their toys or just look at me funny. it's extreme but it works.

Mamas abeg for those who have baby boys, what do you guys used as barrier cream between the legs? You know the groin area, the two folds around the thighs.

My boy is 7weeks and we use powder but I noticed the skin there is starting to peel as at yesterday. Please help o.

Thank God for school, my daughter will bring her potty, remove her pant, sit down on it and poo. She'll now tell anybody poo poo so we'll wash her bum wee on the bathroom floor, squatting down.

Just keep trying and don't wear diaper all the time at home, always ask him if he wants to poo poo or wee wee. First thing in the morning, give him water(makes my daughter to poop), put him on the potty, tell him poop you hear in his baby language, highfive him if he does or maybe show him the poop and tell him "my baby is a big boy, you see you poo poo here, clap for yourself " If you notice he's making the poo poo face, put him on his potty and stay with him.

Worked for me thoo and school also helped out.

Mummy, thanks nne. like today,I didn't wear him diaper on time. I took him to his poo like four times nothing. I also notice the poo face,I rushed him,put him down. he ran away and the poo ceased. that is what he used to do. that poo sit is like a motor to him.
but I will keep trying,I want to achieve this before he starts school by September.

Era of powder as barrier cream don pass ooo. for me,I use both Vaseline blue seal for babies and shear-butter. u can use sudocream too.

What my sis did with my niece was always make her sit on her potty every morning immediately she started sitting without support
With time she got used to it, even b4 she started talking
whenever she wants to poo she cries till she's put on her potty
Altho it took her some time for urine but she got used to d potty when she wants to poo

thanks dear. I will start early with my dd. tbh,I started with my son at 6 months but he was so scared of the poo-sit. he will scream and scream. so I left him. at 9-10months same thing. so I was like maybe if he starts talking or grows older,it might be easier.
na so I dey ooo .he is not talking now sha. I don't want to worry about that one for now.
he sits on it now but won't release anything. I will keep pushing

I was using blue seal but I noticed it started peeling, hence my using powder which stopped it for a while. Now it's peeling at that same place, just between his legs.

I'll try ori.

Blue seal vaseline.

@ d bolded, I remember the nurses use to tell us then that we should not use powder as a barrier stuff for babies. That it can make them have rashes i.e urine will make the powder to stick to the thighs. I don't know how true though but I use vaseline for my boy all through.

This one wey everybody dey recommend blue seal. I honestly was using only blue seal and noticed that area was peeling, I switched to powder, after a while, it started.

Maybe I go try the vaseline again then. Thank you very much.
