Am a female. I think they just want the government to increase their salary because of the high cost of living at least a top up .

oh sorry.tot u r a guy.NMA is not against salary increment for them.we also want our own share of the increment.so that we won't end up receiving the same cash and doing a more demanding work than them.infact every worker in ds our country deserve a 50% salary increment

Ingrate brothers? You see, thats the problem we are talking about. So Pharmacists should be grateful to doctors for allowing them to earn wages? You guys are pathetic. it wont always remain this way, that i know.

am sure u saw d uploaded table and also the part I said Doctors r bn short changed compared to what d other guys r earning in d hospital and d nature of work each side does.as a medical Doctor for each contact a patient HV with other professionals, he/she must HV had contact with Doctor. for example a patient that HV minor illness like say uncomplicated urinary tract infection.first contact in d hospital is either to go to the record person to obtain folder for the Doctor to see the patient. Thats likely going to be d on contact of the patien with the Record person. Doctor try to take a brief/elaborate history as d case may be from the patient.u examine the patient.u now send d patient to go run some test in d laboratory say urine M/c/s , urinalysis and possibly test to rule out other disease entity that may give the patient same symptom.that is likely d only contact the patient is going to have with d laboratory guys. He obtain d laboratory result and still com back and meet his Doctor, u now take a decision and write prescriptions for the patient to go see a pharmacist to get his or her drugs and probably get an explanation too from d pharmacist on how to use it(probably the only contact the patient is still going to have with the pharmacist).some funny patient still get d drug and come back to meet d Doctor for another round of explanations. The same patient still book an appointment with the Doctor for followup visitation may be after few days for the Doctor to know about the patient well being.if na complicated case that Will require admission, thats wr a Nurse comes in. u can see the work is quite more demanding for the Doctors. No body is saying u guys are not important. Everyone is important in his own chosen field.so even if we all had spent the same 5 year in school u can't still expect us to earn the same thing becos of the nature of job each side does.
Era of monkey dey work more and baboon dey/wan chop more no go dey possible again.na governmt employ all of us.u ppl are asking for 20% increment and by so doing we end up getting almost d same salary despite the different work load.we r telling the same government to also increase our own by 20% for salary relativity to be maintained. Shikena.all of us be government pikin.lol.i rest my case.weldone brother..
Lastly i think everybody should be proud of his or her chosen career.this i like about the whites.Instead of a lab scientist or a technician to hang stethoscope and be parading himself as "Doctor of diagnosis". Lol
