Just to clarify, in my second application attempt, does that mean that I will be able to link the file online with the existing one (i.e. the one I created during my first application)?

Please for somebody who was previously refused Visa and wants to link the application online, what will be the process to link the application online?
Yes, you will be able to link your new application using your already created 'MyCIC' account.

The process of linking your new application is quite easy. Log into your account, check for 'link existing application', follow the instruction and fill appropriate fields correctly and it should link your application to your account.

Canadian Study Permit Application Processing Time is now 9 weeks for Nigerian Applicants, getting maddening day by day.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by harde116: 10:48pm On May 22, 2018
Oh! i can't even remember checking that option, but well, there's nothing i can do about it, we wait!

kylexy61:

Hahaha... This really cracked me up. Almost as if CIC knows that you were checking everyday.

Well let me guess. You applied on 22nd April? This is a norm. As long as you have checked the option "I would like to receive monthly updates about my application" in you application profile, you will continue to receive that email every month (until a decision is made on your application).

Only says, "we are processing your background check" "we will send a message when we start reviewing your eligibility"

It's been that way since i started checking it, i think the only thing that changed would be "biometrics updated"

Prudento:

Have they started ur eligibility review?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by harde116: 10:58pm On May 22, 2018
LOL! Maybe o. Thanks alot.

Twallace:

Lol.

They don't want you to waste your data checking for update.

Nothing to worry about though, it's normal

@Frankrobbn1

Can one also submit CAC doc for a business name registered in 2013 but not yet in operation to address family ties?

Frankrobbn1:

chisiudeh,

You need to show sufficient ties to your home country i.e. what will compel you to return home with the following shortlisted.

1-) Do you have a spouse and kids(minors) and are you leaving them behind?
2-) Do you have elderly parents who depend on you?
3-) Do you own businesses/property that you need to continue managing?
4-) Do you have adequate funds?
5-) Do you have family members whom are not accompanying you to Canada?

I think number 2,3 and 5 should be your home ties here. Lastly, A good SOP/LOE outlining your career prospects back home is also a tie.

gerrymini,

Yes you can! A registered business is a strong tie to your application, whether running or not. Simply, explain on your SOP/LOE that you've a registered biz back home and you will be coming back to continue managing it. Provide all evidence on file.

I am facing a similar challenge although, I intend to say that I resigned my job to study for my IELTS (which I did) and prepare ahead for studies in Canada. Do you think this will fly?

Frankrobbn1:

chisiudeh,
Considering that you've already quit your current job as at January and you've not been working since then. CIC wants to know what you've been doing for the past 10years till date. Presenting to them on file that you don't have something doing for the past 5 months since you last left your previous job, you're indirectly asking them to refuse your application based on
1-) Current employment situation,
2-) Limited employment prospects in country of residence.
3-) Personal assests and financial status and
4-) Purpose of visit.
To avoid this, It will be best you include the details of your previous employment while filling the IMM1294 form and also try acquire a new employment letter from a company to cover your 5 months gaps that will be directly related to your intended program.

All the best!

gerrymini,

Resigning from your place of work just for the sake of sitting for an IELTS test and preparing for your studies in Canada is not justifiable.
Reasons why I said its not justifiable is because people combine their job, sit for an IELTS test, prepare for their studies abroad and at the end they achieve their purpose without leaving their respective places of work. Why should you then resign all in the name of travelling to Canada when you haven't secured your TRV? That's a question you need to answer. I hope you don't intend presentating the above, because it's unreasonable.

All the best!

Hi Ilerioluwa,
You seem to have been asking this same question for over a month.

From your message, it is obvious you have gotten the invite for medical examination, so, what is written in the review of medical results on your online page? By now, i believe you must have linked your paper application to view online, this makes you more aware of your application status.

Is the review of medical results showing; we are reviewing your medical; we have requested a medical examination or medical passed?

Is it that they have requested for your passport in which you have submitted and havent gotten a message to pick it up at vfs (since you mentioned people waiting for stamped passport)?

If you do not have these information, i think it will be difficult for anyone to help suggest what could be happening.

I remember someone asked you to link your paper application to view online. If you have not done that, i'll ask that you do that.

So try and sort things out from your end, just to be sure you are not the one missing out necessary steps.

I wish you the best.

Thanks for your response mcobex.

I am to resume September, and they will be having an opening for June, 2019.

Hi dear. You will definitely get a daycare once you are on ground. I am speaking from personal experience. Sometimes, openings are created due to one or two children who are moving .

Also, try kijiji of the province you are going to, You will see openings in some private daycares. Leave out the Uni daycare for now. Go for private ones and I pray you get a very good one.

But he is saying that he will go and pay 4years tax on personal income, so he will get a tax clearance certificate, the cert will not be in the business name but he's own name. Is that even possible or credible? He registered d company with his brother but the brother is no more here, so it is now his business. Please what do u think?

Paying 4 years of tax clearance might appear suspicious because the tax clearance will all have the same dates for each year of tax clearance paid. Why he hasn’t paid clearance since, but only now that you applying for a visa he paid 4 years in a roll, would sound suspicious. I will advice you concentrate rather in submitting all necessary paperwork of the company (CAC, articles, memorandum or constitution) and a good and convincing sponsorship letter. And a tax clearance is suppose to be two, one evidence that the company has paid its taxes ( except its nonprofit and would be eligible for exemption) and the other one that the sponsor has also paid his own individual taxes. Best.

Sounds like a winner * In Jyunwa's voice
Okay..the business is an enterprise. I guess that's what is on d CAC.. Let him do the tax clearance certificate it is important. He stopped paying tax but he can back date it with a good tax clearance agent. My mum did hers in lag. Also if he has any, add recent rent receipts and some invoices to make the financial backing strong
NB: This is very important: In your sponsor letter in the first paragraph of introduction please it should be "I Mr_________the sole proprietor and sole signatory of " business name" am writing in support of Jewel_____ who is my______ (Emphasise that is not a company or a limited liability) with this I submitted only business statement of account of my sponsor!

All the best.

Hey sweetie, how is your application? I await the good news! Sounds like a winner!
