Fact! I obtained a letter from IBTC without any 25% stuff stated. It's the too knows that initiated that. I know over 5 persons that used all % PF successfully. I'll go back to our previous thread and pray I locate old posts where it was established PF was totally acceptable just like this ACCA saga. Only statement was even required.

What's my own... Lemme kuku write a letter informing IRCC that I have some money in my PF account but it's illegal to use it because it won't be available when I apply but 4 months after i resign so they can successfully stop Nigerians from using PF because it's only available 4months after they resign.

CIC simply said acceptable POF includes PF. They never stated any %. Sad this might have affected a lot of persons with little funds. I was truly surprised to see the 25% stuff.

NB: I can do without it but for crying out loud Nigeria is hard and not everyone is wealthy. I remember almost hugging the Boss at the Canadian Embassy when she said I could use it. It was like a lottery I won because I really needed it.
This wouldn't hurt me so much if I didn't confirm and if I didn't know of anyone who used it.
I'll do them an email today or tomorrow and take a screenshot of whatever response I get. I'll advice others who are free to visit their embassy and send emails(Please don't start stating % they should tell you that if necessary)because it's not available at time of application same reason we can't use equity on real estate.

We've had this argument before and there's a screenshot from CIC to back it up. Once you do it and you're successful, others will follow but for now biko stop giving people false hope.

If one can use 25% that he isn't even authorized to have access to (since most people usually continue in employment until they're finally ready to jet out), one should be able to successfully lay claim to the isolated 75

You can use 100% depending on the plan you have with them. If it is the regular savings plan, Mutual Benefit must state that on the letter. They will also make reference to the cash surrender value cos that is what you are entitled to if you are liquidating before maturity. Fret not cos it's only the accrued interest they will deduct from if you want to access the money before maturity. Your premium contribution should be intact. Again, it depends on your plan. Read the T&Cs on your policy doc. Discuss with your account manager to ensure that they write accordingly. Hubby has quite a good sum with them, so we insisted on what we wanted on the letter.

Talk to your the person managing your account with them. You should be able to use 100% of your savings with them. But check what your contract with them says. Let the letter they give state that you can withdraw all you have less the some deductions from the interest as usual.

You cannot have two passports. You biometric data with them will show you have an existing passport.
However, you can change the information on your old passport. The existing passport will be cancelled without prejudice.

I hope you're not mixing provident funds and pension funds? I hear you can take all your provident funds but not your pension funds..

There was also a screenshot from CIC regarding this 25% pension fund ish in part 1 or 2. Can @glitteringstar do us the honour of digging up when she has some time on her hands.

Guy, thank you very much for giving me the contact address of IDP Australia. MOD must be caution with awarding mass failure in writing and unfavorable remark in EOR. I don fire them mail. I go use my file as case study for them. Writing is subjective and so EOR should not always remain static for everybody that request for it.
