Still on my experiment.

I have been in Abuja attending a conference and my daily route is same and these are my observations.

Uber charges 1150 while Taxify charges 700
Uber receipt shows a flat rate here often, no breakdown's, so the Taxify goes home with about 600, the Uber goes home with about 890.

If the same system is operable in Lagos, I can say that Uber benefits the driver, while Taxify benefits the rider
From my experience, many say Taxify is more expensive but the reverse is the case.

Now we drivers claim Taxify is better in terms of payment. Is is really true?

To all my uber / taxify partners .. Am thinking about getting a Honda civic 05 or 06 for uber ..please any experience owners here.. I do have one 04 on the platform, which is doing fine.. Due to the fact that the currant driver likes it and treats it like his own . Like I always tell people, do your research well well.. So now am seeking a second opinion... thanks in advance, and also I was told that 04 to 05 are very rugged .but new shape from 06 upwards not so rugged

Ha .. Me am confused o .. I have a 04 civic now and the car is doing ok no major issues at all. The car is about 4 months into uber.. Am wondering if it is because the driver is very careful with the car.. I just wanted to get a second opinion. Can you elaborate why it is not good for uber. For one that I know we can all agree on . The car is very low to ground for our Nigerian roads.. Can't think of anything else.

Sorry I get it now ..06 is the new body shape and that 06 is not rugged or design for uber... by the way how is your elantra doing? I will need a transmission speed sensor .do u know any good elantra parts seller.. Lately have been getting bad, very unreliable parts lately from ladipo.. I had to change alternator twice coz it was bad.. It didn't last two weeks after buying from ladipo. And when we try to return it, the seller didn't agree ,he said that the parts are not under warrant after one week

Lolzz, I did it to one guy like that. He was complaining that I was moving too slow was just busy shouting Oga move naa. My wife is in labour, In my mind I was like so?
See this one if I move this vehicle can you stay? I just targeted the last lane close to the barriers and press the gas and their was this violent engine sound before you know it the car was practically flying and I checked the speed clock and see 140/h by then they were already begging me to take it easy and I ignored it and made sure it entered 160 I throway face. At the oworonsoki end the guys were like Bros u get mind ooo car wey dey do 180 na emm u do 160. He Shaked me and asked me to wait so I can take them back. On our way back his cousin drove his Honda CR-V and he overtook immediately around 7/8 I just ignored him only for the guys to tell me Bros overtake him we want to get to Chevron before him, I was like u people don start again ooo. It was around 11 pm the roads were free I pressed my pedal immediately and fiamm 140 na so I pass the guy and got Chevy before him. They were mocking him shebi u claim to know how to drive. Speed is fun sha

Needless speed is accident waiting to happen

Well it was scanned twice. First by my own scanner and second by the mechanic scanner . Both scanner brought out speed sensor. If you put the gear in drive, the car jumps and it takes a while to accelerate.. If you are going like 40miles per hour for an example, it takes few seconds to get there, but eventually it will get there.. Both scanners can't be wrong.. Transmission oil has been changed and service... to be frank with you, if I was to take an educational guest. My guest will be that the wrong transmission oil was used .. The elantra transmission fluid has a specific type that you must use.. I bought about 50liters last year that was specifically for elantra... well been a JJC the port rat made away with it. But for some reason none to them, they left me two liters ..

No need to Cc: anybody I wanted to get a second opinion.. I will get a new speed sensor, just to get the rite one at ladipo is another problem of its own .. Things like that is always better to buy brand new ... am not a mechanic o , but common sense will tell you so... this is why people should always follow the manufacture advice on oil change including transmission fluid ,which of coz you guys call it gear oil... no shaking thanks for your response

Let me save you a trip to the market and some disappointing results.

You have more than 1 Elantra, swap out the sensors and see the results.

Thank me later

Try inside Unilag. You may never get a trip from VI in the Morning during weekdays. Where would they be going to?. So it's better a trip from the mainland to island.

I live in Gowon estate Egbeda. Once it's 9pm and you are ready to go home, use destination trip on Uber. Set your destination to Egbeda. The worst that will happen is you will get trips to Agege or Ikeja; from where you can now drive home.

I know of two Safe places to sleep over in the car on the island - Oniru, beside City of David or just across the road from City of David; and Eko Hotel roundabout. Both places are lighted and there are police patrol vans parked like 200m away, so nobody will disturb you there

I can do 160km/hr in a good Toyota Corolla; or 200km/hr in a Mercedes. If the driver is very alert, nothing untoward will happen
