If they should include all those features with a premium finish for the TV most Nigerians wouldn't be able to afford. It's not fake they are selling, it's just an affordable TV based on the buying power of their customers. Samsung does exactly the same. The model numbers are just the same but the quality is totally different. An average American or European can afford to pay a $1000 for a TV because they have very flexible payment plans over there and also you can't compare the buying power of an American/European to a Nigerian. And don't forget we pay in cash here.... Americans/Europeans have access to different credit facilities that are spread over a long period of time. Lakeside79: |

Localization of products is key to achieving customer satisfaction. Samsung makes TV based on African consumer's unique needs and conditions of the continent. Is that not altering? Lakeside79: |
| Re: PHOTOS: Alex Iwobi Becomes LG Electronics' Brand Ambassador by Nobody: 10:03am On May 21, 2018 |
Rainmania:Which TV's high end smart TV? When you say localization it refers to the content like languages like adding Arabic in the languages of pre webos smart TVs now that's not necessary with webos being updateable over the air Smasung has specific build quality globally it adhers to Stop arguing about what you know nothing about Are you a Fouani staff? Most likely |

Who is talking about Language. I own a Samsung TV and my brother owns the same spec in the US. And i can tell you authoritatively that the quality is not the same. I wanted him to get me the same last year during the black Friday/Cyber Monday sales promo but i changed my mind when i saw the shipping and duty cost. Just like most global products Samsung TV's are built specifically for each region. There are different variables that comes to play. Electricity, Humidity and the target market itself. I don't own an LG product . Its either Sony or Samsung for me. Lakeside79: |

| Re: PHOTOS: Alex Iwobi Becomes LG Electronics' Brand Ambassador by Nobody: 11:10am On May 21, 2018 |
I got mine from SIMS one of the trusted and foremost franchise of Samsung products. They don't do fakes. Lakeside79: |

Rainmania:Then you lied obviously Samsung don't change specs for Nigeria You are a Fouani staff aren't you? In which of the LG showroom do you work ? |
| Re: PHOTOS: Alex Iwobi Becomes LG Electronics' Brand Ambassador by Nobody: 11:39am On May 21, 2018 |
How did I lie? I never told you I owned or bought any LG product from Fouani. Am telling you that Global Companies make products specifically for different region either Samsung,LG or Sony. Its a no brainier. You either believe me or you don't. I have tried for you today. Even if the truth came and smack you in the face you probably won't comprehend. I know this because I own one and i made the comparison with one in the USA. So believe your assertion let me believe mine . Medasi.Lakeside79: |

Rainmania:You are a.liar that's pretty much been established You aim obviously to try to make it look like Fouani aren't alone that everyone is doing it Wrong again Liar |
| Re: PHOTOS: Alex Iwobi Becomes LG Electronics' Brand Ambassador by Nobody: 2:14pm On May 21, 2018 |
Samsung products in Nigeria aren't the same with ones in USA. Calling me a liar doesn't make the reality different. I have been able to compare same model of Samsung TV's from the two region and they ain't the same. You on the other hand is speaking based on sentiments not facts. Lakeside79: |

Lakeside79:It is very evident Lakeside 79 appears to be a worker of a competing brand who has not done his facts properly before misleading members on Nairaland. Who told you Fouani Signed Alex Iwobi and not LG? Are you a staff of Fouani? Were you the one who prepared the contract? Please divulge what you know and quit being gibberish with you comments. All Brands, quote me anywhere, produce products based on consumer insights inclusive of the environment they live in. Products sold in Nigeria by LG are not different from those sold in other countries. Yes, there could be differences in features based on consumer taste (e.g in a Smart TV, some apps could be relevant to the U.S market which might be completely useless to have those same app embedded in a TV made for Nigeria market]. Talking about model number of products, how do you differentiate product models produced every year if not through differentiated Product model? All countries have similar product number prefix but might have a different suffix based on the requirement of each market. As we speak, LG is the only major brand that assembles some of its products in Nigeria compared to other brands who import thereby creating more jobs for Nigerians and ensuring product quality is maintained always. LG is the only brand that offers a whole range of electronic products with a 2 year warranty. Even other brands that tried it gave up. If LG products were not good enough i doubt if this would have been done. Some key components of LG products even come with 10 year warranty, giving consumers rest of mind when making purchase. Just to mention a few, LG Gencool AC comes with 10 year warranty on the Dual inverter compressor, LG refrigerators with Liner compressors also have 10 year warranty, LG Front Load washing machines come with 10 year warranty on the direct drive motor, LG Neo-Chef Microwave have 10 year warranty on the Magnetron and the list goes on and on. I believe your drafting skills tells you are educated but please carry out your research before making such comments as you sound like a job seeker who was turned down by the LG brand during recruitment and decided to take it out on the brand since your post came immediately the news was shared. |
