Breaking News: When choosing a name in Africa for a child, it's not just about the naming ceremony that is the most important aspect but the Child's name itself. Names are giving for different reasons, like a girl child called Yetunde, which sometimes is giving when a family loses a mother and it's believed the mother has reincarnated with the birth of the girl child and same with Babatunde for a boy child.

Well back to my story. When my son was born I had this great idea of naming him Michael as well, to continue with my great legacy "cough cough" but Hell to da No!! the mother refused right from the hospital bedsheet, hian!! She won't have it even if I paid her a million pounds. Anyway Ayomide Israel was finally chosen don't ask me if we are Jewish o.

Now Ayomide in Yoruba means My joy has come, which truly was a joy, to have waited for many years too. And this is not a joke, check around you for people with the name Ayo-mide' Ayo-bami or Ayo with any possible extention or transmission, Ayo-transmission na joke o ehen.

They are all spoilt by their parents and that name gets to them probably because they know they brought joy with their visit to our planet and their parents. So on children's day I called my children to wish them Happy Children's Day but no one picked up my call and come evening, my super son sends me this pictures, Jesu what happened Ayomide? now in my mind Ayomide has turned to Ayopami( Ayo has killed me o).

He went, "Dad I broke my leg on my Roller skates, lobatan!!! So why didn't anyone call me to tell me this since morning or your mom Mama Ayo and the sister(16yrs old) goes, exactly because of what you are doing right now, panicking and getting stressed up. Dad take panadol and rest he his okay the leg brace is just gonna be there for 4 weeks. See life o, dad I want Scotter, I want Ferrari, I want roller skate and now I want a new leg.

Anyway story for another day. Next boy child I get is going to have names like Obama, Malcom Y since X has been taken already. Check well inside your UN handbook guide for names of African children before naming them o. na joke o.
