Kemdy97: I just checked the cac public search for my own father's business name and is not there anymore. OMG! as of last two weeks it was there. I just noticed the cac website was newly updated |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Jewel80(f): 11:15pm On May 28, 2018 |
Kemdy97: Go to www.cac.gov.ng type your dad's company name in the public search box and see if is there |

Jewel80:Jewel80, This was the origin of Kemdy97 current problem. How come yours is also not found?. The bolded is not a tangible reason to why a business name shouldn't appear on CAC portal. |

Hello Nairalanders, For the Digital photo we are meant to upload, are we supposed to paste on word or PDF or just upload like that as a picture? I am submitting via the online route. Also for the signature for the CIC forms, can we use an e-signature instead of printing and signing? Please advise. Goingforward. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Austinpee4: 11:55pm On May 28, 2018 |
goingforward:There is a tab for ' digital photo' on the online profile. Click on it to upload photo. For signing, just fill out all forms and upload. At the end of all uploads, you will be prompted to accept that all information have been correctly and truthfully answered. You will also input your name. This is how online application forms are signed. At the point of submission. |

Frankrobbn1: My dad has not been filing documents with them since he registered in 1997. Guess they have wiped out such people. Now it feels like i am back to square 1. I was just about to submit my application then i decided to check here for comments and i saw kemdy's, i rushed to search for my dad's too. Please what if i submit his updated tax clearance and leave out the cac outdated registration, i feel is beta to not submit what I cannot proof anymore. Are there applicants that get approved with tax clearance and no business registration? Cos i think people can pay personal income tax without being registered with cac ryt? There are many people who doing trade that earn good money without being registered under cac, moreso, he has paid my full tuition and sent in living expenses. Please advice me, i want to get this right..thanks |

How possible is it for a student working and studying save to pay for his tuition fees worth 7500 cad |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by nivlek000(m): 3:02am On May 29, 2018 |
jnyuwa02: This is not entirely true. Let's not be too pessimistic. It's a lot tougher and expensive (multiple application fee payments) actually but it's not impossible to get a good uni for a Masters degree with a 2:2. |

Jewel80:All registered business names are on CAC website. Just type the name of the company. Eg. ABC not ABC Nigeria limited it will appear. My father's business name since 1984 is till there 2 Likes |

I keep seeing this advice to change school programs to match previous experience. What if the applicant genuinely wants a career change? It's more than just getting to Canada. After school what next? Frankrobbn1: 1 Like |

Jewel80: Hey, I was having the same issue too until I followed Wealth360's instructions. It appeared there was a misspelling of my dad's company name on there website. I typed just the first word and it brought out all the company having similar name to my dad's. Just follow suit and I believe it'll come up. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by bbclue(f): 6:01am On May 29, 2018 |
Jewel80: That is since the business was registered he didn't pay for yearly filing or file annual return to show the name is still in operation The yearly filing is 1000 that is of your business has not commenced .....or you choose the annual filing by consulting with and Accounting firm to prepared statement of affairs |

bbclue:I don't believe this. My dear I can't remembered the last time my dad said he pays annual dues or this yearly filling u are talking about but his company is still registered and still there. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 7:37am On May 29, 2018 |
Jewel80:Jewel80, Paying your full tuition and living expenses at your disposal has not provided your sponsor source of income. CAC certificate is a mandatory business registration document that is required by CIC and must be included along side with your application. I haven't come across an applicant that secured visa without a CAC certificate, Tax clearance certificate is not compulsory, but if you have one you can include them. I advise you heed to @Wealth360 suggestion, try searching the business name and not the full business name that ends with limited and let's see how it goes. 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by odimbannamdi(m): 7:38am On May 29, 2018 |
jnyuwa02: You are not entirely correct, sir. The minimum grade requirement for MUN, for example, is 2.75/4point. Converting this to the 5 point scale is 3.43 which is a 2.2 |

Frankrobbn1: This is specifically how my case looks like. B.Sc Microbiology Work profile/experience - Business. I was confused as to whether i should go for a business related Masters degree (such as the MBA) or a Microbiology-related one (like Medical Microbiology) But seeing your post now, i can deduce the VO folks puts experience over academic qualification hence a preference for the biz admin degree over the chemistry one. If i didnt get it correctly, kindly enlighten me further |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by bbclue(f): 7:48am On May 29, 2018 |
wealth360: If your dad company is in operation then he must have been paying tax at federal level....asked him there must be a consultant he his working with.....or he his doing it by himself.......if a consultant is filing for him you would know....and when the consultant is submitting his audited financial statements or unaudited financial statement or statement of affairs to revelant authorised such as firs....3 copies will be printed....to firs....they will give him his own stamp copy...remaining 2copis with them..the other copy will be forwarded to CAC .. Well CAC has started closing business names that are not remitting annual due or doing filing.....all do notices are giving before any action are taken......I work with an Auditing firm ....tax department to be precise. ....I know a little but I don't know all.... Even that one thousand for annual filing is for the first year of registration of business and continue every year before July 1st after July 1st if you didn't pay the one thousand nairaland it is assumed you made late payment and it will increased to 3500 for the year you didn't pay the 1000... Oga wealth360 I greet oooo |

odimbannamdi:odimbannamdi, In your case what will best sell here is an MBA program, considering that you're into business since you last left university and decide to further studies in business shows a career progression for you and will also stand as a career advancement towards your business portfolio back home. This appears more realistic to a visa officer. A progression as it goes can be your current employment position/activity with your proposed program or previous studies with your intended program. |

D link is not opening..please confirm d lettersuote author=Frankrobbn1 post=67970581] Kemdy97, Yes the Canadian visa officers run through CAC website to know if the presented company is truly a genuine and a registered one under CAC. They might have searched for your dads company name and were unable to find it. That was why the issue was raised on your GCMS File. Kindly, use the link below to check, if your dad business name appears on the offical CAC website: simply input the business name and it will pop up. http://.gov.ng/comsearch/index.php[/quote] |
