The N5000 is for vulnerable Nigerians not Nigerians who can afford to get a phone, subscribe and come to Nairaland.
Op should make a Life investigation and not asking this question on nairaland.
If you can nairaland, then you obviously live above $1 a day.
they said unemployed youths, what has phone and data got to do?

I keep asking, who are the vulnerable who receive this 5k stipends?

What parameters were used to identify them?

Shocked to hear him call some states in the south as beneficiary

Well I see the 5k SIF as another means of corruption by this administration.

How we all ended here still baffles me. A nation filled with intelligent men and women working for crooks!
You still do not know? Ask the Northerners, Middlebelters and South Westerners how we got here and they will explain.

They thought they were doing Igbos bad by voting for Buhari...funny enough, they are the ones who are hard hit the most.

I would imagine the class of people who could be beneficiaries of such can NEVER be found on Nairaland; they wouldn't even know what the internet is.

You have seen this comment almost four times now but it's the truth: if you can afford to come on nairaland and create threads then you are not a less privileged Nigerian. I doubt you'll also find less privileged Nigerians on Whatsapp groups because they possess the means to buy a luxury commodity [data].

I believe the president is saying the truth. This is one fact we'll find hard to verify unless investigative real life journalism is carried out.
Take for example the 30k monthly scheme, the only time we hear about it on Nairaland is when hiccups occur during payments. We hardly hear when people get paid on time.

Bolustical:
I don't think there should be anyone on Nairaland who should need the 5k. If you can afford expensive data being provided by the service providers, then you are no target for the scheme.

However, the question can be rephrased by asking anyone on Nairaland who has poor relatives in the rural areas who are benefiting from the scheme.
You know that was what he meant
Stop being mischievous

At least, they wouldn't be using phone and browsing the net with expensive data.
Two: the fact that you have access to the internet should be a means for you to know how they identified the vulnerable ones.

My friend the whole speech fall short of reality of things on ground. Its just a double face speech, no direction to end armed herdsmen killing impunity...
The president has only told Nigerians that his government prefers to work with out siders than working with Nigerian on ground...
Is that why he is always going to London for treatment after banning government officials from doing the same?
After spending billions on the Aso Rock clinic more than all Teaching hospitals combined?
Buhari is an insensitive fraud!

Data is a luxury item. It means you're enlightened to a certain extent and can create something lucrative for your self. It also means you do not fall into the category targeted.

If the government gifts you five thousand naira every month there is no way you will appreciate nor put it to as effective a use as a shoe maker whose monthly wage is less than the amount.
