Guys, I'd like to know what entry level Lab Technologists, CONTISS 7 Level 2, in federal universities earn.

I worked as a Technologist for 3years before converting to academic in University of Nigeria. As a Technologist II, I earned 84k after all the necessary deductions. No hazard allowance was paid to me through out my 3years as a Technologist II.

After all the deductions, ur take home pay is btw 83-87 thousand naira... A graduate assistant at that level earns 90-98k.. depending on the university...

It is about 94,000 after tax deduction, hazard allowance plus technologist student ratio, field trip and SIWES allowance and responsibilty allowances are what NAAT is currently fighting for for it to be implemented but up till now even the hazard allowance that was being paid in some institutions have been stopped on FG's directive.

In FG Colleges of Education and Polytechnic, it's 84500 after tax and pension, Union takes 1%. That's Contendiss for Non academic staff and Conpcass for Academic staff. 7:3 for entry level.
Hazard allowance not included.

SLT but that doesn't mean that You cant be a technologist with other courses....talking from what i know....i know of many technologist that study pure chemistry and are technologist today

From the two Universities I know, after tax and union levies, it used to be 106,000 (15k hazard allowance) but later on hazard allowance was temporarily removed. Now left with 91k per month..
