You do not need to wait for 6 months. You can apply now! If u can get a close date.

The wait is real, that's the standard now....

I came in last weekend , applied for my visa when I was already pregnant didn’t indicate childbirth because I wanted to go to the US.
But I changed my mind along the line and when I come in I declared at POE that I was here for childbirth. I was take to secondary inspection. They counted my cash and filled a form online for me and gave me a paper that will allow me stay for 6months and stamped my passport in for 6months as well.
They thanked me for my honesty and that was it.

I am using Doctor Ingras Kulach fit her details from here and they are only affiliated to Peter Lougheed hospital.
Calgary is abit in the high side though

So far Doctors fees is cad 3000
Hospital gave 3863 for mother and 2068 for baby per day! I have not gone to the hospital and I don’t intend to go till am ready to deliver.

I have only paid doctors fees and it includes all visits before nd after birth.
All my test and scan from Nigeria we accepted.

And that of course is impossible, never enough for birthing, unless you plan not to pay. Maybe that's for 'procurement of visa', which then is crazy. Both ways, kill your interest if it can't be properly moderated.... DIY approach will pay you better methinks!
Thanks. I see those companies are scammers

You mean getting a date? Or that you now have to wait 6 months before you apply?

You pick the first one, you get no interview date. You pick the second, that means you have lied and will earn yourself an instant refusal. You see? You just have to wait till after 6 months!

Sorry to have derailed the thread a little bit peeps.... Just had to get this across someway!

thanks a lot for the info. not handling CS is not nice cos what if vaginal birth didnt progress, what happens the?. its better to be safe with a doctor that does both. thanks again for the update. will still keep track to know which doctor you settled for wink since you are there already.

I don't think its his own personal decision. Its the hospital(Brampton Civic) he's attached to that came up with the decision for now. I believe if someone they have registered to have VD eventually needs emergency CS, they will still perform it. This is entirely my own assumption though.

Good afternoon house..Please I need you candid advice. Am applying for a visit visa today and my EDD is middle of July. Since I don't know how long it processing will take, should I indicate that am going to have a baby there or I should just leave at visiting. Thank you for your prompt reply...Am a little confused because of the time frame.

My advice is you go through the online route as that is faster and usually takes 6 weeks. All the best!!

Update:

Got to Canada- Toronto yesterday. I was pregnant when I applied and I stated visiting in my application.

POE

Asides my ticket, I did a reservation for 2 weeks Incase I was asked as I intended to declare I was traveling for only 2 weeks. I used makeup and dressed smartly (I don’t know if the POE officer knew I was pregnant or not) I was asked the following questions:

Where will I be staying? For how long? If this was my first time? And then I declared some food stuffs I brought as well. That was all.

.... That isn't just a good thing to do please, there's a tomorrow. Unless you have resolved not to come out of Canada again sha, this could boomerang! Why not prepare yourself and arm yourself with the financial resources and then do the necessary at the POE by telling them what you are there for?

At least, Canada ain't as 'wicked' as the US on this. It is bad enough you didn't declare childbirth in your application, but you could have straightened it all out at the POE. Unnecessary fear I tag this. Every aboki with his or kettle sha! All the best....

As an afterthought, and if I may ask too, do you intend to even pay bills for this birthing sef ni?

Okay ma.... Will however point out that she was fortunate her backup reserved return ticket wasn't scrutinized for any reason. How was she expecting that to fly outside sheer luck and maybe 'providence'? Good she's in already sha, but strategy employed not necessary except we are dealing with someone who isn't planning on paying for her birthing sha!

Just completed reading from page 0-57. Quite insightful and thank you to those who took out time to explain to others. God willing I should be applying for my visa end of Jan to travel by first week in June. I have seen that it has been strongly adviced to lay it out in the application if one is going for birth purpose and I intend to do that. Does any one have most recent information on the option that is quicker? Paper or Online application? Thank you.
I was almost actually going to apologize to you, till I saw this now. Isn't your goal-shifting techniques supposed to be a cause for worry now? Won't there be a change again as touching all you have proposed to do based on your previous posts on this thread? No qualms, enjoy!

All the same, if my afterthought came across to you as offensive, pretty sorry....

Becca01:

Look. I believe this thread was created for everyone to share their experience. This was mine. You can choose whatever route you please. And by the way of course, I have more than sufficient to last my stay here.

With you unwarranted comments, I hope others will be encouraged to share their own experience too.

By the way, just to be clear, the intention is if they saw my pregnancy and asked questions like what if the baby comes now, I had enough cash and my debit card to present to them. If they didn’t ask me questions about pregnancy or why am here, I have no reason to be answering questions am not asked. If you refer to above, you will see I stated out questions I was asked, non of it was “Why are you in Canada”.

All the best to those applying for visa and those flying in soon.

True that, from your post oh! But what was your answer to the question "for how long"?

Meanwhile, I will quickly advocate, I understand that's your story and strategy, cool, but this thread like many others are known for pressing for us Nigerians to do things the right way. You be judge if that your post looks good for this thread and others that it may not favor in the shortest of time after you....

I understand too, "all die na die"!

Yeah, the US wasn't always strict on this, attitudes and strategies like this contributed amongst other factors to their now strictness. Canada that is already having small small "pepper eyes" towards us oh!

One wouldn't even conceive this idea not to even talk of putting it across in the US thread na.... How?

Hello Good People,

I just commenced the Canada visa for me and my wife as tourism visitors - online application. Please I will need a lil clarification from this great family on two items:

1. Business Registration.
Is it saying I should upload my business company registration details? I am an employee. Someone should kindly help a brother.

2. Purpose of Travel
They require that I upload documents showing that I will return. I have not booked hotel yet or flight. Please how do I go about it? Does anyone here do such reservations for visa purposes? Please I need your service and advice.

Thank you.
Since its mandatory and you will not be able to proceed without uploading a file there. I THINK you can upload your job details like your employment letter and any letter from your office.
For Purpose of travel, write out your purpose of travel and write out details of what you will be doing or places you will be visiting during your stay. If you can get a reservation from a travel agency, fine. You should also make a hotel reservation.
