1 - Your crashes are caused by 3rd party apps, put phone in safe mode and see if it crashes. If it doesn't, selectively delete apps, till you find rogue app. If rogue app is not found, wipe device and selectively reinstall apps....

2 - Pop ups caused by free apps, turning your device into a billboard.
Either download Pro apk files, upgrade via iap, download stopad, AdClear or DNS66. This should eliminate ads from popping up...........

Unlock bootloader and flash global rom.

You seem to be forgetting that even as at when launched LG V20 inspite having SD820 and USB type C was still not be all end all.

Asides underclocking the chipset, they paired it with a 5MP selfie shooter and 3200mAh battery(on a 5.7 inch 16:9 screen).
Suffice to say, it was no Samsung S7 edge.
