But do you know Ekong was poor in first half?
Balogun stand out during that first half..

Credit to the coach for giving Idowu and Ebuehi chances to prove themselves .Aina or Elderson one will go home ... Joel obi vs Mikel Agu one will go .Ogu and Etebo passed their exams today but for joel obi the result is F9

Hmm, the German team should really be afraid o.......at least we noe have another similarity with the German team grin. I hope the handlers of the twitter handles of both teams greet each other this night.

2nd half ... substution should be made based on how the game goes
Not sure how Aina would fare in a 3-man defense, especially when the opposition have speedy forwards.

He should be given a chance.

Hype? How is supporting the team mean hype? It's not a matter of team, the issue the bad eggs in the team. Joel and Onazi. especially. If Rohr ever picks Joel then he's in sane.
Thank you metal. When you not quaffing you make sense. Quit that thing.

if the midfielders perform it will reduce the work load of defenders ...but with Onazi and jOEL on the field am afraid how the first match will be if any of them play

Mikel got his act together to do what? Lets call a spade a spade, our captain didn't have his best match nothing really worked out for him today. He created shi shi.

I am not worried about Mikel just like I am not worried about ViMo and I bet Rohr isn't either. Give them another match and they will pick right up.

if mikel created shi shi, then moses created what? wor wor I think. we are over looking moses fault now just like some of us have been over looking joel's fault until alarm finally blow today. I hope same won't happen with moses.

Since I saw Ogu against Algeria (2nd leg) I knew we had a good man

So do they need help to help Joel pack?
What I like about Ogu is that he's never pressured.

i actually predicted it, Ebuehi vs shehu is like comparing Range Rover with keke napep

Ebuehi was good but let's not lie about Shehu's performance to credit the guy. Shehu had nothing to do with the English targeting Ekong with pace. The left fullback was the only place being taken advantage of time and time again.

grin

I read so many funny Analyzes this Evening on this Thread. What has Ebuehi performance Today got to do with Aina pls?! Can someone explain it to me?! Are they vying for the same Position in the Team?!

Brian Idowu was outstandingly poor Today. He made no successful Cross, offensively he was blunt, Defensively he was a Suspect..... yet some Dudes are calling on Aina to be dropped?! Lol!

If at all one Fullback must be dropped, then it should be Echiejile, coz he's gonna be ineffective in the Team. It's apparent the right Formation for the Team is 3 - 5 - 2 and Echiejile ain't a kinda Fullback can also play as a Wing-back.

But if it's let for me to drop Players right now, both Onazi and Joel have made it a very easy Decision to take. I hope Rohr plays 3 - 5 - 2 right from the beginning against Czech with Ebuehi as RWB and Aina as LWB.

Which wing did England penetrate during first half... It was shehu s wing... Not Brian and also there are more defending in first half... It is more of pressure...

Mikel was caged and lost..

Vic Moses was ordinary with not single attempt... He refused to track back and cover for Idowu...

I dunno why you said he was poor really...
If you said Idowu was poor what about first half performance of Ekong?

forgiveness:

After the coach saw the lapses, he decided to change the formation and moved Mikel close to the back then placed Iwobi who wasn't doing any defensive work on the wing ahead of Mikel.

Meaning, he doesn't need to create chances rather bring stability to the team. Since, he is now aware, he needed to do more of defending and allow Iwobi roam.

He can't remove Mikel who is the most experienced hence the need to remove either Joel or Onazi.

Surprisingly, he removed both and brought in another CMF maybe to see the Etebo because I don't think if any of those players stay the game will bad.

The problem was the right side of our team.

And since Shehu lacks pace, he needed someone with speed that could at the same time support the attack midfield and defence. Who else but Ebuehi could do that?

Ebuehi and Brian joining the midfield and defending with quick recovery stabilized our game.

The English realised and brought in fresh players to disrupt our wings with pace since that is their own strength but by the time dey do that we already strengthened our wings.

The only problem now is the forward didn't gel.

When it comes to reading games and statistics you're spot on.

Can we try Simy as the starting CF for once?

Ighalo's goal ratio for Nigeria is getting suspect.

Absolutely. With Simmy in the line up, we have a potent target for crosses; and the dude has decent footwork for a 6’6” player.

Alternatively, we could line up as follows:

—————-Omeruo——Ekong——-Balogun————

—Ebuehi——-Etebo——Mikel——Ndidi——V.Moses——-

——————————Iwobi—————————

—————————-S. Nwankwo——————-

Ekong, Balogun and Ogu should be tried out as the 3 CBs in a 3 - 5 - 2 Formation. I really enjoy the Calmness of Ogu on the Ball. He's a class I must admit. Balogun gets the Height to deal with aerial Threats, also he can be a Leader, coordinating the Defence.

I really can't blame him for his Performance Today, coz I guess he suffered a Concussion after the Heads Collision with Joel. I hope to see him once again with aforementioned Players.

What happened to omeruo performance today?..

Can't we see Balogun omeruo and Ogu..

Balogun omeruo partnership still work n gel...

I'm not takibg anything away from ekong he's a workaholic

If not for their long Oyibo wall partnership, I will prefer Omeruo and Balogun to start.

Bro.... perhaps you need to re-watch the Match. How many successful Crosses did he make?! How many tackles did he won, how many play was he able to break or initiate?! Do I need to tell you he was caught out of Position more than once?!

As per the Wing more penetrated by the English Team in the first Half, my Brother it's the Midfield. They murdered, no massacred our Midfield in the first Half.

don't know if am the only one noticing it, this team tends to start play with lack of confidence when they play european teams or bigger teams, It showed in games against argentina, poland, serbia and england. reason we conceded cheap and early goals. It's a shame with players like mikel, moses and others who play abroad and has faced these big players at club levels.

The Nff should do something about this urgently cos in this game, the same England that looked bigger in the first half look so small in the second half.

Are our players suffering stage fright? this is where croatia and even iceland could edge it. The boys only seem to increase in confidence in the second half and it's scaring
Didn't you see how Iwobi was rousing after he scored. This team can do it if they believe. Iwobi had believe, it showed in his efforts, in his movements, he played with urgency and determination. He stood out of the pack. Imagine if all of them rose up to the challenge as he did.

During the WCQ the team used to boot for 20 minutes now it's 45 minutes. Too bad.
