Great capacity but the charging port to charge the Powerbank itself has spoilt. Please is it replaceable/repairable?

Take it to a trusted roadside electrician, and they will replace the faulty charging port with a new one.

That's exactly what i did a few days ago. I have this rugged power bank but both Usb hubs were damaged from long use. I kept it aside for quite some time thinking it couldn't be repaired because it is sealed. Just a few days ago at a phone repairer's shop I saw a man came to collect a power bank repaired for him. I took mine there the following day and the beast is as good as new now, working perfectly.

Depends the damage. A power bank contains a battery pack and some voltage regulators, basically for input and output. The damage could have
happened as a result of a damaged fuse, capacitor, transistor etc and therefore repairable. Any attempt to repair the inbuilt battery itself could be
calamitous to you phone. If the value of a deceased component is wrongly replaced, your phone could be assassinated, eliminated or even annihilated.
I advice you get a new one.

Any phone repairer that is good at soldering will do it without any itch, I always repairs mine by myself and have been using it for past six years #VINSIC#

You can buy empty case and put the battery inside. They are 18650 cells same as those used in laptop. Repairer can also do it for you.

Yes, it can be repaired.

But as you may have noticed, most of them do not have screws anywhere on their casings while some of them are even made of entirely enclosed plastic casings.

For this reason, you'd need to crack the case to have access to the components and find a way to put it back together after repair.

Therefore, you must be ready to use it with tapes, rubber bands or very ugly glues around it afterwards; depending on the design of course.


For me, working on power banks and bluetooth speakers is a no no... They always look ugly afterwards; depending on the model of course.

This is not true. Repairing charging port is quite simple. Just dismantle power bank, paste the panel and then remove the damaged port with a blower, apply paste and led on where you will solder the new one, place the new one and solder back with a soldering iron or blower.

Very simple.

What I'm repairing is the charging port of the Powerbank. Not the battery
