The consensus seem to be that Echiejile is crap one reason being that he doesn't get into a team that plays in the Belgian second division, I still can't help but think he won't be any worse than Idowu. And those crosses that Idowu wasted, there is a high likelihood that Echiejile would have made better deliveries him being naturally left footed. Probably too late now, though. 4 Likes |

The coach is making some tactical mistakes, iwobi shouldn't have played deeper owing to the fact that he is more creative than Mikel. Moses should be benched his impact is zero. Shehu should be relegated to the bench for ebuehi. Finally, Mikel obi offers nothing to this team. 2 Likes |

Nne, thank you for breaking it down much better than I can ever do. And you can just add - make Iwobi your creative midfielder. Mikel is too sluggish to be effective in the AM role in Russia. He slows our game down. Make it our deep lying playmaker (Pirlo role) and this team would change. O pari safarigirl: 2 Likes |

I can't believe I would say this but I do agree with you. IMHO, Rohr needs to sit him down ... read him the riots act: either play within the team or you sit on the bench. I don't even understand how he allowed Moses to monopolize all the set play. And it wasn't like he's killing them either! O pari JoebieII: 3 Likes |

Guess our Eyes are clear now....... that Iwobi is a monumental Waste on the Wing?! Our problem is very simple to solve; A - Play 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 Formation. B - start Ebuehi as a RWB not Shehu C - Play Moses as LWB, I've seen him played there at Chelsea more than once. D - play a Pivot of Ndidi and Mikel as DMs - Ndidi doing the Tackles and Interceptions while Mikel plays as a deep-lying Playmaker. E - Play Iwobi as a No. 10. F - Pair Ighalo and Iheanacho upfront - Ighalo will play more inside the Box, while Iheanacho plays as SS, combining with Iwobi to dig out positive Results. G - I prefer Trio of Omeruo, Balogun and Ekong as CBs in a 3 at the back Formation. I do not trust Ogu with the CB Responsibilities. 11 Likes |

During the last post match conference, a journalist asked Rohr about converting Joel Obi to a left back since he's left footed but Rohr didn't answer. Tbaba has said Awaziem has played that role before too, can't we try Joel Obi and Awaziem there? We have to make do with what we have, I don't think Idowu or Echejile have much to offer on that side of the field. Desperate times call for desperate measures, maybe Etebo can even help sef . Elderson and Idowu na short one in my opinion. |

Well, if Rohr maintains what has hardly worked since we qualified, he should have himself to blame. I hope he realizes the obvious now. Icon79: |

Friendlies are meant to help analyze the teams individual and collective performances, as well as to take vital stats. From all our friendly matches, I have gathered some information I believe are crucial to the team. 1, The Super Eagles do not start well, and take time to get into the game: With that said, I believe the coach should focus on stopping his team from conceding early goals. So as to avoid a situation where the SE are goals behind in the game already, before the players blend into the game tempo and rhythm. 2, We are lacking cohesion or confidence in central defense: The obvious culprit here is Balogun, as he seems a bit shaky or lacks fitness. Maybe he is just avoiding injuries prior to the commencement of the WC, we will see. 3, We can't play 4-3-3: Our team lacks the quality to play 4-3-3. This formation requires fast wingbacks and a VERY intelligent DM to pull of successfully, and effectively as you would be playing with a CAM (Iniesta-esque) and a deep lying CM. If we opt for this, then our CAM would be Iwobi, Mikel as CM and Ndidi as DM ( Not his best position as his preferred role is being a box to box). This still leaves us lacking at the leftback position. IMO Tyronne has solidified his position as the RB but the LB na WAHALA O! 4, Uzoho is improving: I'd say Uzoho has shown signs of being a decent keeper, especially in pointblank positions, but he needs better defensive covering. I'd say his ability to take out aerial balls is a plus, along side his wide frame which came in handy in that save that could have easily been the second goal. 5, Ahmed Musa SHOULD start!: We are lacking pace and urgency. Moses, can provide pace, but his knack for dribbling, slows the game down, hence losing the urgency I speak about. I believe Moses and Musa on either wings should work. 6, Ighalo is not mobile enough to be a lone striker: Probably it's due to age, but Ighalo has lost his mobility, sense of palcement and is BADLY lacking in linkup play! Maybe we should play Iheanacho/Iwobi as a false 9 or try Simi Nwankwo as the classic lone striker. 7, We still don't have a left back: Idowu is neither, offensively nor defensively sound. He also lacks football intelligence. Elderson is just as bad as Idowu. I am disappointed, but we can still patch up and hope for a DECENT outing at best. 17 Likes 1 Share |

The friendlies are over. No injury to any SE player. Thank God for that. Situation report.: The fans are confused. Opposition is confused. In other words. Both fans and opponents doesn't know what to expect. Which personnel they will play against. Confusion everywhere. Come June 16th when it will be winner takes all. We all will witness the do or die spirit from SE. Mark my words 10 Likes |
