Chai, you wicked o. What about those that can't afford express delivery?

Then buy from Jumia and save the stress or use the extra money you can't afford to settle customs..

That's not the point here, you absolutely showed no empathy to those that might suffer from this new directive. You can afford express, great? There are still some people that are still saving as little as 50-60k to buy their phones. What if it now affects express, would you be concerned then?

Nigerians Sha, anything wey nor affect us directly nor concern us.

I'm also affected don't get me wrong, But there is always a way, when rates was no longer affordable we try to find a way to still reduce the cost...

As I mentioned, Jumia offers low price as well..

My first comment was referring to Nobody's shipping method... It's quite affordable when you consider the whole process...

Customs hav started charging fees on singapore post items, such as phones and cameras

A client of mine called to complain, she was told it was a new directive,,i called my post office post master to confirm, she told me,henceforth, certain items such as phones and cameras would be handpicked by customs and fees would be charged on them..

Express shipping is limiting especially if you are buying a xiaomi phone. An average user wants the 'normal' phone (play store, play services etc) at the first boot. Not everyone is comfortable with the Chinese rom/version which is what you would get if you are using express.

The whole process is affordable because you CAN afford it. All due respect to the students on this thread, I know what that 3-4k difference can do for most of them and even some people that are not students. It's a big deal and rightly so.

When you put in time factor then you know, it's cheaper.. time na money too.. Imagine waiting 1 Month and order was cancelled grin

China ROM is one of the best MIUI ROM, I bought 1 of recent, It very fast..

back to the Price, You will Order your self at Rate close to 368.. doing addition and subtraction plus Screen protector then you realise it's cheaper to use express delivery...

Noobody must pay me for marketing... grin

People who use these vendors for alixpress shipping don't order at the rate of 368/$1.

You are missing the point here, it's ok Sha.

Hmm, Alright I now care about the custom charges..

In case you missed my Point, I was referring to Noobody's express shipping business model..

I later provided alternatives to avoid the charges, Using Jumia or express delivery. When you felt I don't care.. I do price comparison a lot..

Also what's the assurance. Your phone won't be detected during clearance...

In business world anything can happen, Seems someone is concerned about the inflow of phones from overseas.. Imagine someone complaining about Shipping iPhone for 80k sad

Oh, I forgot to add this regarding students that can't afford express delivery..
You remembered I Posted a comment saying, You shouldn't buy a phone you can't afford to loss..

A student should not Struggle to buy a phone he can't afford as well, I remember when I used to save and struggle to buy phones...

As a student the main Goal is to finish school first.. then you will even use the best phones out there at the right time..

Peace

I was irked about your initial comment to the post when you said you don't care as long as it doesn't affect express shipping.

The only thing you should take away from all this is to show empathy even if a situation doesn't affect you. Peace.

Madam, No vex, I understand what I wrote if you don't..

So I'm as bad as the person who made the law.. ?

In other countries, You pay more than the cost of the phone on custom duty.. What is your advice to such countries...

Crying at a funeral is making mockery of the dead..

The law was passed, It affects those it will affect and benefits to those it will benefit

I have learnt to look for a way out instead of making excuses or complain about situation I cannot change...

Peace

Oga you still don't get this? All am saying is your first reaction to the post shouldn't be you don't care except it affects express shipping. That's the point am trying to make since this first exchange.

How many Xiaomi phones from last year are running in Android 8.1? Even my MI6 is yet to get 8.0 not to talk of my other MI5 that just recently got Android 7 with May 2018 security patches yesterday. Other users here can testify of that except you go beta version direction way. Meanwhile since OEMs churn out few and give them promptly updates release support

They charged just one out of the 3 phones,. Surprisingly, all 3 were declared by sender as multimedia player, they chose to charge one 4420 naira. They even attached their seal and receipt yu to the package.
