gallivant: For areas that may not be safe or easily accessible, there must be a delivery point very close by which is safer, accessible and still quite close enough... Ditch your preference of malls. Online shopping is the future and the way to go.... For someone like me, I hate wasting my time going to malls to shop! Some people are too busy for things like that and that's where online shopping comes in handy... |

TayserMahiri: Jay254: There is nowhere in your links that prove that the entire Kenya enjoy the kind of speeds you are boasting about... I went through your links. The project is commendable but it still needs a lot of work to achieve all that you list. Besides, fibre optic cables have a limited distance coverage... They are only situated in your major towns and we know that Kenyans are overwhelmingly rural... So, it can never benefit up to half of your population, perhaps only a quarter of the population when it works to full capacity. |

Nowenuse: So what's the point, malls are safe delivery points with fun things to do. Way better than yaba market. Anyway, Nigerians shopping online was a cop out because malls and other widely accepted concepts and norms are alien to you. Stick to your cults and voodoo. Online shopping my butt. 1 Like |

Nowenuse: 1. The average internet speed in KENYA is faster than your country and at par with the developed world. 2. 85 % of Kenyans use the internet (compared to Nigeria's 50 %). 3. That means only 15 % of Kenyans are missing out (50 % for you) 4. The average speed in point 1 is for the whole country not for Nairobi or a few towns. 5. If you have a brain you know what that means. 6. But since you dont, the network I shared in the post is the backbone of the country. 7. Connections emanate from the backbone, not end there. 2 Likes |

gallivant: That's why Nigeria has the richest black man. That's why other African counties thank Nigeria for sending teachers to them and even beg for more teachers.. That's why other African nations want Nigerian investments (especially cement).. The other day Tanzania was asking for more companies like Dangote to be established in Tanzania I don't see Somalia having the richest African.. I don't see somalia sending teachers to other countries.. I don't see Somalia with multinational companies, .... etc Things are bad in Nigeria but definitely not as bad as Somalia |

Jay254: I found a source.... The report, however, dismisses the common belief that Nairobi, the capital, has the highest concentration of Kenya’s wealth – having clocked a per capita wealth of $1,081 to finish in eighth position, one spot ahead of Mombasa with a GDP per capita of $935.https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/news/Nairobi-ranked-8th-on-World-Bank-list-of-rich--poor-counties--/539546-2951310-uotkygz/index.html this was not too recent.. this report was done in 2015... Nairobi has a long way to go in competing with Lagos |

You get discriminated against in your own capital According to local media reports, a Chinese restaurant in the Kenyan capital Nairobi has adopted a rather unsavory practice. After 5 p.m., most African patrons are barred from entering the premises. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2015/03/24/this-chinese-restaurant-in-kenya-is-open-for-dinner-as-long-as-youre-not-african/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.0fd04f682d1f Bantu Africans are just coons who are incapable of business and will take anything from foreigners. I don't like it when people lump West Africans: Nigerians Ghanaians, Senegalese with East Africans. We are very different from them mentally... |

Kenyans are tribalistic and racist. They give each other labels like Bantu and Nilot. Who does that? In Nigeria, your either Yoruba, Igbo, etc. In Kenya, thy label each other Nilot and Bantu not Kikuyu or Luo - that is deep endemic racism. NairobiWalker: |

gallivant: Dangote is still in Tanzania.. Tanzania tried to get 16% of Dangote's assets in Tazanaia for free. Dangote never built a factory in Kenya Ah I see you you haven't heard of Nigerian multinationals especially our banks.. GT bank UBA Access Bank Zenith Bank Union Bank of Nigeria Diamond Bank Some of those banks are even in Kenya... Guess what, they're black owned We even have our own indigenous telecoms company that's multinational like MTN: It's called Globacom Let's also not forget Jumia that's also in Kenya Recently our tech companies are also going multinational When it comes to Nigerian multinational companies, most of them are either banking or manufacturing(especially cement) Just a day ago, Earlier the Tanzanian High Commissioner underscored the presence and positive roles of Nigerian firms in his country, particularly in the manufacturing and banking sectorsAlso, The Tanzania envoy further conveyed the appreciation of the President of Zanzibar, which is a semi-autonomous region within Tanzania, to President Buhari for the deployment of 41 Nigerians teachers in the region under the Technical Aid Corps (TAC) programme of Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Source for both quotes: https://www.channelstv.com/2018/06/07/nigeria-to-strengthen-economic-ties-with-tanzania/ I wonder why Tanzania isn't asking Kenya for teachers... hmmm Nigeria even has an aid program for lesser developed African countries, to send teachers to them... Nigerians, feel free to add more multinational Nigerian companies |
