Oga frank and other well informed contributors.

pls what are the chances of a medical radiographer in the US or should i consider a change of career. I shall be anticipating a reply. Thanks

Are u asking bc you are wanting to become one or are you already one?

Radiography is a good career. Schooling for a general radiography is half that of nursing with good money and less stress. In my opinion.

Modified
If you specialize into ultrasound, MRI, CT scan, that is where the real money of medical imaging is made but it will take you more time.
If you are genuinely interested in Radiography go for it. However some states have more vacancies than others due to the reasons I mentioned earlier. So you will need to do some research on that.

bro, just remove destiny from this explanation. You can work n plan to fulfil purpose. Almost all who lived in US for long and have nothing to show for, is because they failed to plan. The country has created platform to advance in whatever you do, only what you need is just planning.
Exactly, planning and the kind of people you mingle with. Always pray for God to direct you towards the right people.

Wrong wrong wrong.
I graduated in Nigeria, I'm working with one of the top company here in USA (Fortune 50).
Here in USA, if you want to go into I. T, your degree doesn't count, what matters is having the right certifications. Depending on the field. I'm still wondering why many Nigerians are doing CNA while they have the brain for I.T
They think I.T is all about coding, forgetting their are many fields in I.T that pays wells without even knowing HTML.

Wgu is a great school, two of my friends finished their Masters in 6 months. It's purely 100% online and you don't have to live in the west coat. You can live anywhere in the USA and still enroll and finish anytime you want. One thing about them is the flexibility and the affordability. With high chances of finishing the Master in 5-6months.
stonemasonn:
If you're planning to live around the west coast area you can try western governors university (WGU) MBA health care management. Mostly online, flexible and affordable.

Agreed, these IT fields can be considered by those that do not want to deal wit rigor of software development/coding. Project management can be considered as well. The good ones with the right certification get paid well. Of course, the average salary of a programmer is still higher in most cases.

You are right and wrong at same time.
Go check average salary of an Agile Coach or Scrum Master. Don't forget Software developers look up to us, those guys are nothing without us. Remember most companies are implementing Agile Framework and traditional Project Management (waterfall) is fading out. So the demand for Scrum Master and Agile coach is high and the pay is unbeatable. I rather you compare with Solution Architecture than software developers. The only thing I will tell you is this, if you know your onion have someone to guide you and with certifications, Scrum Master role or BA is what I will always advise people to go for.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not discouraging people who have the passion for SD, but my post is for Nigerians rushing into CNA. Instead of focusing there strength in career like Scrum Master, Business Analyst, System Analyst, Project Manager and Quality Assurance because it's easy to climb in those role with flexibility of working at home most days.

@nycdude thanks for this expose. I went on google to check out the scrum master thing and it’s interesting. Can you walk us on how to successfully go about getting the certifications especially for folks like me with a different back from IT?
How much should we budget? Do we need internships to gain work experience or can we apply for positions after acquiring the certifications?
Thanks and God bless your hustle.

please... franknetter and Co. in the US, is this Racism of a thing in America and Europe about colour or Race...

1. Is racism peculiar to the colour BLACK (that is, is it a White Vs. black assumed trend)

2. is Racism a continental thing.... like do Africans (Either BLACK or YELLOW skinned) suffer same levels of snide remarks on Racism

3. Do Other mixed coloured Africans like Algerians, Libyans and Moroccans experience same degrading racist level like their mates from Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal etc.

4. Are there black Americans who are racist towards Africans with same skin colour.

5. Do the light coloured middle East immigrants face a higher, lower or same degree of racism like there African counterparts.

pls, answers to these questions will bring my thoughts to a logical State... I just need to know if racism is a thing against the BLACKS or against COLOURS not White

I can tell you are anxious, so let me try to help you. If you tried to understand the ins/outs of racism you will give yourself an aneurysm. And if we tried to explain it all we would be still trying to explain it till the rapture.
So..
In every society there are good and bad people. Tolerant and intolerant. Fact is America has a very racist past. Racism goes across all ethnicities and races. But it seems to be largely against any race of color from Hispanics, to middle easterns, and Blacks.
Prejudice occurs across social class, gender, and within a race.
The important things to do are 1. Keep your head up. 2. Work hard to realize your dreams. 3. Be aware of your surroundings and dealings. 4. If you encounter racism from ANYOnE, know that this doesnt reflect EVERY ONE 5. Be tolerant and openminded yourself to others.

Hope this helps

Well I'm not anxious neither am I paranoid... and all I can deduce from your reply is that racism is against all class but still largely against a particular class... if you know, you know....

Inferiority complex? Well my problem is my accent and I don’t speak loud, so now in my first job, I only speak when it’s necessary, I hardly gist. What makes matters worst is that my job is a technical job and I don’t understand most of the technical jargons, sometimes when my team leader gives me instructions I just look like a dummy...totally clueless grin. My sister advised me to see a speech therapist. I don’t know if I can afford such in this Buhari’s economy grin.
