I saw a cat under the hood of my car after parking for 2 months and i diddnt panic. It just walked away freely. If i had started the engine without checking under the hood would have resulted in a whole mess

It is perfectly normal for stray cats to see the bonnets of cars as a home and to climb into it from under the car. It happens here in my place and also in my car everyday. Which is why I always check the bonnet carefully before putting on the car engine.
It is a very high level of ignorance that makes a lot of Africans to think that cats are witches or associated with witches or witchcraft. There is no evidence to back this up. The cat naturally has a quiet and sneaky behaviour/countenance and as for it's eyes that is sometimes looking slit; most people don't know that that is how the cat's eye is naturally adapted to adjust to light/darkness.
But generally, the cat is a harmless animal, which, if well handled, can even be very pleasant.
Thanks once again for your enlightened approach and your kindness to the animal.

 A suspected witch disguised as a cat, met her Waterloo, this morning, in Oke Afa, Lagos, after being spotted inside the bonnet of car taken for repair at a mechanic workshop.

The mechanic raised an alarm after spotting it sleeping peacefully inside the bonnet and many residents were attracted to the scene. The cat was successfully killed. .

The killers claimed that they had been having many sleepless nights due to the evil manipulation of the cat.

a bird made nest on my stair rail very close to my corridor and laid eggs waiting for it to hatch,.i left it there even cover it sometimes when it rains.

its hatched and all flown away and i have now removed the nest,.they still come and perch on corridor even when am around,.

only eliminate if its an aggressive creature apart from that,comon!!

We are very spiritual and highly superstitious at the same time. This is a very bad combination.

Rats sometimes sleep in the bonnet and l am sure the cat went hunting and after having a delicious meal, the cat decided to have a peaceful rest. I do not see the rationale behind a witch turning into cat. Religious fallacy. Is there anywhere in the Bible or Quran that says witches will become cats?

happened to me last year... at first i saw a decapitated huge rat on the engine.. disgusting but my first suspicion was a cat was living there. about a week later, opened the bonnet and saw the cat sleeping on the battery. It jumped off and ran away. I didnt see it as anything extraordinary. I fiiled water, checked the oil, started the car and went my way. Although i chose another parking spot as the former one was near a swampy bush. People should stop being superstitious.

poor cat. she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I woke up one morning and as i opened my bonnet i saw a cat. i simply drove it away and continue with what i was doing. This things does happen sometimes. she was just looking for a warm place to sleep.

I remember how one of my spirito neighbours killed a very beautiful cat, they all celebrated n took pictures of the witch they killed. Fast forward to some hours later a new neighbour who just moved in some weeks ago came back from work looking for his pet cat. That was how this new neighbour, a huge man wept like a kid for his dead cat that was tagged a witch.
All this man kept saying repeatedly was I want to see the body....i want to see the body....when he finally saw the barbecued cat......i wept for him n d charred remains of d cat.
He said he owned that cat for 4years, it accidentally strolled out of his flat unknown to him that sad morning to pop or something and was jejely relaxing at the owners doorstep waiting for him to open the door, when madam spirito fire fire churchy woman murdered,poured olive oil and barbecued it.

Cats are warm blooded animals, it's not unusual to find cats, foxes, snakes in car engines.. For the record, the word witch is not Nigerian, there are people who believe in witches and Witchcraft in Europe but you don't see them hurting animals.. The just practice it as a religon. In Nigeria we take things to the extreme.. What makes cat, owl, snakes evil and not cows, chickens or parrots??

Now I see that it's people's primitive minds despite churches everywhere that they call everything about Edo "witchcraft".

Most people still secretly patronise babalawos, alfas, marabouts, ezemuo, dibia, etc. No wonder we're getting nowhere.

I think it's the other way round... you probably one of the multitudes stuck abroad ,living in fear and constantly looking over your shoulders not to get caught cos you have no papers... and that's if trully you're in London and not typing in a rickety molue or danfo on your way to your meagre salary paying work in a remote part of Lagos.
