I got this in an SMS today, it's geared towards the Riders....

* TAXIFY ALERT *

Ride credit has been added to Taxify! Add bank card to Payments to get N1000 off your next rides.

* Credits do not apply to cash rides.

What does this mean for the Driver?

So many things I can do on Uber that I can't do on taxify.
* I don't need to confirm arrival if I am at the pickup location while using uber.
* A click on navigation botton can control the Google map to the new destination if the rider updates the destination. But you can't do that on taxify.
* Uber gives Clear details of each trip but taxify doesn't.
comparing Taxify app to Uber app is like comparing Lagos and London.

Means more card trips and less cash trips and also a way to reduce debt owed to them by drivers

Thanks taxiappguy, I would also like to know if the car qualifies for taxify?
taxiappguy:

Both platforms perform really well in Abuja. 30-35k well, if you rent out.
If you drive yourself 50-60k well, but dependent on the amount of work you put in.
Your vehicle is eligible.

Can anyone here give a practical Comparison between Uber in Lagos and Uber in ABuja

Could be your own personal experience or from your relationship with colleagues in both locations??

Which location seem most profitable? Which location is more favorable to new drivers?

If you had to make a choice, which would you pick and why

I hv experienced this twice, picked a rider from Apapa road Ebute Metta to Freedom way, lekki and that local Taxify app calculated #400 as riders fare. Did a price review but they didnt get back to me till abt a week. Another was Alausa to Yaba #600. Men its so annoying given the fact that i use a very good phone. App at times sef will even shut down on its own . Taxify needs to improve their app is trash!!!
bily:

How can you say his phone GPS is trash. Ok, let's assume you are right, can you then explain to us why the same trashy GPS is not having issues with uber app?

Taxify app is the culprit abeg grin

I have said it once before, they need to fire their developers and hire competent ones

Hummmmm people sha get lever, when they are asking and pleading for favour ,the sound like Angels but immediately it get sorted ,there real colour surfaces .One guy came on this platform asking for HP for sienna to Ghana, he got someone who gave him 05 sienna for it but not for this thread.Fortunately this particular driver that came here asking for this was my former driver partner for 4months before asking me for sienna,as I cldnt provide the car, he came on the thread to sweet talk people with his proposal. Now the new person that gave him a sienna is a my friend that is into uber biz . He asked me to come see the driver for the sienna ,I was there and coincidentally it happens to be my old driver ,I approved the deal cos I never really had a any issue with him but he has already started telling this man about me with usual driver story against their partner. I ignored it cos I know he felt the best way to get his new prey is to condemn someone. Now he started off the HP ,dropped 200k for initial deposit to continue paying 50k weekly. Now 1month gone no remittance . Car was recovered yesterday with gear issue, unserviced and bashed car Upandan with lots of stories to follow up .
Let's be careful cos people can change to something else within a short time cos of stress and challenge of life ,always be u and never allow situations to change u rather change the situation .

Hmmmm this is my experience for one week on uber platform.
I had something to do at Lagos business school for two weeks and I decided to register my car with uber so I won't keep blowing empty to and fro and also I needed to experience this aspect too.
I turned on my uber app around 8am and my destination was set.
8.20am I got a request to lekki (I reside in surulere), I called the rider and a sweet voice picked up. I got to her location and she told me to wait for 5mins, well I wasn't in a hurry cuz my short runs at LBS starts around 12pm. This lady came out, entered the front seat and greeted me, I replied too. She complimented my ride. Well, her destination was Exxon Mobil, few minutes into the ride, she started up a convo, asking if this is what I do for a living (not knowing she is my first rider) how much does uber drivers make a day etc. Well, I got her to her destination and she asked if I could pick her up when she is through. Anyway that's story for another day... Her fair was 2100, and she gave me 3k without asking for her change... Hmmmmm, this may not end well if I continue on this adventure.

Same day, after I was through at LBS, my destination was set, back home (surulere) and I got a request. Dude was going to chevron, he entered and we exchanged pleasantries. He complimented on my ride and saying quite a nice portable SUV. We spoke about cars, women and other things, this was one ride I wished stayed was longer cus I enjoyed the conversation with the dude. Anyway, he saved my number and said we will hook up someday.

WHY DOES YOUR CAR NEED MYMOTO TRACKER

(1) Security: While anti-theft systems like push-buttons before car start, gear lock, pedal locks etc… are good, ONLY A TRACKING SYSTEM LIKE OURS ALLOWS YOU TO RECOVER (AND ALSO PROTECT) YOUR VEHICLE IF YOUR CAR IS HIJACKED FROM YOU WHILE DRIVING. Our trackers are both anti-theft and recovery in nature. e.g. You should shutdown your car before you sleep at night or park in a public space. Whenever you need to start the car, you enable it also.

(2) Remote Monitoring: GPS Security trackers allows you to monitor your vehicle location remotely from your phone. You are able to view your car’s location in real time (from our IOS/ANDROID APPS).

(3) Vehicle History: Through our online platform (IOS/ANDROID APPS) , you can view where your car had been between DAY X and DAY Y. A plot is shown on a map showing your car’s movement over this period of time.

(4) Remotely Stop Your Car: With our security GPS tracker, you are able to stop your car from ANY PHONE with an sms command. This function can also be carried out through our online platforms.

(5) Geo-Fencing Alarm:If your car goes beyond set a radius (or multi-point), say Lagos, you will be notified by sms.

(6) Other alarms (Over-speed Alarm, Ignition On Alarm, Low Battery Alarm ): Over-speed alarms notifies you via sms when your car goes beyond a particular speed. Ignition on notifies you WHENEVER your car is started. Low Battery Alarm lets you know when your car battery is low.

(7) Daily Mileage report (online platform): Daily mileage report shows you a daily chart (in KM) of your car.

YOU'VE SPENT QUITE MUCH TO ACQUIRE YOUR CAR, SECURE IT WITH A TRACKER. BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY

Story 1
During one of our installs, the client shared with us how Mr Ayo (not his real name) borrowed his brothers car, and waylaid in the night somewhere in Lagos. Unknown to the thieves, the car had a tracker in it. That same night they tracked the vehicle to a military baracks (apparenntly the thieves had accomplices with military connections). They went with the police and they were able to recover the car (THE DEMOBILIZE FUNCTION OF THE TRACKER WAS USED TO ENSURE THE CAR DID NOT MOVE UNTIL THEY GOT TO THAT LOCATION)...

Story 2
Mr Bayo was bout entering his car in the night somewhere in Lagos when he was attacked. He immediately used his phone to demobilize the car some minutes after they had zoomed away with the car. The thieves ran away when they discovered the car wasn't strating again. The car was tracked to Ajah. Apparently the thieves ran away in fear with the keys of the car grin
