No matter how involved they are in the affairs of your nation there are still too few of them compared to you guys, if you have individuals who push and are determined, they would also own chains of businesses too like the lndians. Let us not be patriotic to the point of foolishness. A discerning mind will surely know that Innoson is a coupling plant and no where near an assembly plant talk less a manufacturing plant. It is the same concept we have with motor bikes. The components are made, packaged and brought to Nigeria for coupling. Simple.
It is no where near the VWON and PAN we had in the 80's.
However, this does not negate the economic derivatives like employment and technological knowledge that come with this venture.
It is also necessary to compare the cost of importing fully built units of these vehicles to the coupled ones so that we dont cheat ourselves.

This is indeed sad, my workshop is more equipped than this, all I see is just vehicle lift, I was looking to see a simple CNC machine. Innoson is indeed just another good pane beater putting parts together.

He is a business man, he should know what to do to ensure Kenyan assets are grounded and auctioned in Nigeria to compensate for his losses.

He should go to court and target any Kenyan airline that lands in Nigeria for grounding and auction not just the chattered aircraft that brought him home.

I've been to Nairobi Kenya around 2007 or so, Nigerians are known for their flamboyant life style, driving expensive cars, luring women with cash, spending money in clubs & beer parlors to an extent that the natives wonder where and how they(Nigerians) make the money they spend.
if you study the topic carefully, you would understand that this is a case between a Nigerian business man and his rival Kenyan politician over/because of a Kenyan woman, the politician now used his political power to chase the Nigerian out of Kenya.

We're in talks to start producing aircraft in our country which your Nigerian dependent national carrier will lease as it is too poor to buy outright as some of our local carriers do. If you're looking for countries to compare to Kenya, go check Somalia and Western Sahara. Fool.

The bulk of manufactures who depend on NEPA or whatever to get reliable power & banks to get forex - if we believe SuffernSMilling - are moving in droves outside Nigeria. I personally would do the same. You have worst logistics & your banking is crap - can't even float NAIRA freely.

Our manufacturing is just sophisticated. And you don't have any - outside Nestle & Unilver - whatever you have - is doggy chinese finished goods. It reason you only export one item - oil. We export so many finished manufactured goods. Please try compete with Benin -otherwise we are competing with Egypt & South Africa in East & Southern Africa.
