Please guys, lately my blood pressure have been really high, i get headaches at the back region of my head, i can feel my heart pump. I've studied and known the danger of this health condition and i want to handle it before it cause anyother problem. PLEASE ASSIST ME WITH HOW AND WHERE I CAN GET HELP WHETHER MEDICALLY OR HERBAL. I've tried to adjust lifestyle habits; like my diets and i exercise regularly. PLEASE I NEED THE DOCTORS IN THE HOUSE TO ASSIST THANKS |

I understand how distressing it would be for u ryt now. However, u should not make the mistake of stabbing urself on the foot by seeking conflicting and mostly inaccurate health advice. Essential hypertension is a chronic illness, which means u'll have to stay with it for the rest of ur life. While theres safe treatment, there is sadly no cure. Its in search for a cure many get badly hurt and loose their life. But those who know and accept that it can be managed do well. Here are things you could do for ur self: 1 Reduce weight, if u are on the fat side, for every KG drop the weight, the BP concomitantly drops. Thus diet and exercise could help u loose weight. 2. Totally avoid smoking, significantly reduce ur alcohol intake or stop if u can. 3. Reduce the salt in ur diet drastically. Sodium retention, which is worse in blacks have been implicated in the pathophysiology of hypertension. 4. Rest and reduce anyform of stress. Visit a Medical Doctor in an credible centre and get sorted out: The physician will ensure these: 1. That the cause of ur blood pressure is probed. So as to confirm its essential hypertension. 2. Your risk factors and counsel u on workable modalities to overcome the modifiable factors. 3. Check your major organs , checking for side effects, eg Retinopathy, Nephropathy, Neuropathy etc. This may be done via physcial examinations and investigations. 4. Choose antihypertensives for u based on the above work-up and put u on follow up to ensure u head a healthy life. Hypertension is fairly common and shouldn't be the end of the world. Cheer up.
