That Referee should be fired. He was very useless. Penalties like that are overlooked 90% of the time.
He was simply angry with the stupidity of a so called pro-player who was romancing Mandzukic in the 18 box.

Play well and not even the biasness of a referee would stop you shine. We should stop blaming the referee, pls.

Last game!!! Biko, they played according to plan.
Their loosing added more money to my pocket.... I hope they will loose again.

Cameroon conceded 4 goals to them in the last World Cup
Dearie, please try to comprehend a write up well.... Am talking about this tournament, this crop of Croatian players, and the current Cameroonian team... If we are talking history, would the super eagles of the last cup play the rubbish your boys played yesterdayhuh

It is just the same Nigerian factor we are talking about. A disease call Nigerianaisis, that infect the mentality of native Nigerian players once they have small change in their pocket. Nigerianaisis does not show itself in poverty stricken local league players but would show up once same player has found a team in Europe. Nigerianaisis tend to show only mildly in foreign-born Nigerian palyers.

9ja needs to learn, see fast game. Our own players are slow and tired
They received blow jôbs before playing that match I'm sure.

if he had done this, he'd have saved the day. The fault was from the coach and not the players. He needed to just tweak the team a bit after the goal, but he didn't.
Like someone said earlier, Rhor seemed more interested in not loosing than winning. But I think his fear was because Croatia were technically better than us, if we went full throttle we'd get picked off more easily.

However, we need more pace against Iceland. I'd bring in ebuehi. He's fast and seems better at link up play. We need Musa to hopefully run behind players on the right and cross on the ground across the 6 yard box or cut back. Air crosses are a waste of time. Can't remember last time the eagles scores a headed goal. Probably since adepoju retired. And we need iheanacho to shoot loose balls from the edge of the box or cut backs. Igahlo isn't bad but mostly useful in the box. Lone striker ain't working for him. He needs better support. Don't know much about Simys game, but if igahlo ain't working then maybe Simy to partner iheanacho. Iwobi to the middle and we should have a better game against Iceland.

why are they not here?

That they're not at the WC , it should tell you they can't play Croatia. They're that bad. As if no be dem we top for group.

I agree with you. What made Nigerians to love Leon balogun and troost ekong was the way they put their bodies on the line during qualifiers. It had been along time we saw Nigerian players that commited

First games have been difficult for the big boys so far.

I can't blame Nigeria anymore.
Supporting mediocrity since 1899.

Given your antecedent in the politics section, I ain’t surprised by this inane comment.

Point of correction. The team Keshi took to the World Cup had sizable number of players that played in top teams. No member of the team was playing in mediocre Chinese league. Even the few ones left from that squad are not sharp anymore. It's even beyond that. It is a problem of lack of commitment and passion for the game, and a coach that was taking chances with a woeful formation.
Chinese league is not terrible.

Mascherano plays in China too, but he pulled all the major strings in the midfield for Argentina

We have decent players that could play a beautiful game

it is not commitment, it is tactics of the coach and believe

Our coach is European coach who probably felt the European team was better and on normal grounds should be winning the game. He played for a draw.

Yes, the nation is cursed and has failed completely. The only thing remaining is for war to break out. The leaders don’t care and the citizens are helpless and weak.

You see how other nation are playing with zeal? We can’t do that because corruption has crept into and destroyed our sports sector. The fabric of the nation has been completely torn apart and the nation is left bare. This is a tip of the iceberg though as more shocking events will occur to show that the country ought to be Balkanized.
