america was nt meant to be united, it was meant to be a British goldmine and slavedump. they had to unite themselves to achieve the goal of defeating Britain, if they were truly united there won't ve been a civil war, and Indians won't have attacked constantly. Same way Nigerians must come 2geda as one to defeat bad leaders cause that's our real problem, not one tribe
If they were truly united
Lmao
The civil war was about slavery

There is a difference between America and Nigeria. America is a country of immigrants. Different people from all over the world came and settled in America

Nigeria is a country of indigenous people. Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa were all living in their respective areas before the British brought all of them together in 1914. So who is this Nigerian you are talking about? The people the British brought together? If all we have in common is that the white man brought us together then we don't have anything in common.

The best th8ng would for all of us to return to the way we were before the white man came having seen that Nigeria is a tried and failed colonial experiment

The Niger Delta area is also multi ethnic, but all the tribes lived peacefully b4 oil came and tore us apart

Let us start with Lord Lugard's character assessment of Igbos, being disloyal and rebellious. The Yorubas being seditious and low and the Hausas being sensuous and immoral.

OP you've done well, this thread was supposed to focus on the positive beauties of our cultures and regions, but useless people have derailed it with stupid immature questions of whether SS is a real place, its a fake place, since na wetin una wan hear

Am truly sorry to burst your bubble but Nigeria has never been One right from her inception. It's not One extantly and will never be One ( considering the amount of water that has since passed under her bridge) even if we continue like this for another century

The sooner we stop perambulating and smell the blasted coffee, the better for our unborn generations.

As for restructuring-forget it. The north will never relinquish her vice-like grip on the centre without an almighty jihad/war.

Your reasoning is gradually improving.

Someday you will champion the same line of disintegration as IPOB are doing now.

oron people are the 3rd largest tribe in akwaibom, people of peace, hardworking, fun , our home is near the coast of the cross river. Our language is oron language, though different dialects can sound like other tribes , dressing food mostly same with Ibibio and efik, and our main occupations are fishing, trading n farming

I am a full grown Igbo man and I can rightfully make d assertions having schooled and worked in Nigeria all my life;
I don't know Ojukwu, Zik, Awo, or any saduana. I wasn't born when they lived all I have of them is history and history is past, but my future I can decide.

However, I know my friends; Abdulahi ishajobi, Sule Mohammed, Morayo Banjoko, Temisola Adewale, and I can easily say these amongst others are the finest human beings I know and their tribes hasn't stopped them from being good nor doing good.
I share not in the sentiments of the present Nigeria, cos it shall not be said of me and my family, that " the fathers has eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth is set on edge ".

Well said! I also have friends Mubarak, seyi, gozie, tari, osas, ovhunda, kobani, kevwe, eneyah, ekaite. I admire them not cause of their tribe, but for their outstanding characters and abilities. a tribe does not define a person

Don't mind does talking rubbish here, for all we know they are non- igbos claiming Igbo or non-yorubas claiming Yoruba just for argument sake
Re: The Unity Thread by viscerion: 1:55pm On Jun 20, 2018
These are some things common to all Nigerians no matter your tribe, we all love;
- Jollof rice
- soaking garri
-akara and akamu
-moinmoin
-suya
-zobo
-pepper soup
-palm wine
-football
-whot, ludo, draft, seed games, clapping games
-grooving
-partying
-we all had funny parents
-we've all been heartbroken by NEPA
-we all had a fun/rough/hard/ funny upbringing
-we all like prizing
-WE ALL HATE BUHARI
most importantly
- we are all heavy gifted and have great potentials, and the only thing keeping as from going high is disunity and mostly bad leadership
