Omoge.... Easy na?....you have stuck with this team through thick and thin. Why you suddenly giving up? Naija can still qualify. We all know why our players played the way they did. First of all, it was the first game of the group for Nigeria, the pressure would be very enormous. I can understand that. Secondly their confidence level wss tampered with some friendlies ago. Trust me if they had won all the friendlies, they would have had the self belief. Which is why people are clamouring for team psychologist. Its a mental state the boys are. The state they were in when they lost to Soutn Africa. When they come out of it, they are a beauty to watch.

The chief culprit is the man we have been singing his praises all this time. GERNOT ROHR!!! He just got found out and the disappointment is just kinda unbearable.

With respect to having our local coaches tinker our senior teams, I have my reservstions. As a foreign technical adviser, we all saw what Rohr went through picking his team, brushing aside agents and sticking to performance. Our local coaches are willing to compromise integrity for a morsel of bread. Apart from the fact that they need to upgrade to world class coaches as many of them are bereft of ideas when the chips are down.


The ones that actually are technically savvy will still be subjected to one useless technical committee approval which in most cases are comprised of ex internationals that cant coach.

Another problem is If for instance, one of the coaches pick the best players and they all happen to be from a particular region, then other regions will cry marginalisation. If he happens to come from the region he picked from, people cry nepotism. When these coaches put their foot down on big players, we cry out and say he lacks man management. Exactly what do we want gaan sef? If you play for a coach that doesnt like losing, you will see it in the players that play for him. And if you see a man manager, you will also see it in the teams play. Losing is not a big deal to Rohr and that is what has transferred to the team.

As for our own local coaches, if they can be true to the game, pick the best out of the best... and have the right Naija philosophy of play, are are given their respect and dues as at when due, we wont be in this mess. So in other words, we (Nigerians) are all responsible and culpable for whatever it is we are getting now.

The good thing is NFF are doing their best to change the status quo. They prepared the team so very well, handled all bonuses, sorted camping sites and logistics which is a giant leap in my books considering what happened in Rio Olympics.
(Wait! is it that we dont like things the easy way? Cos when things were rough and tough, our teams played with anger and passion). Or could it be that we respected a white man's world so much that we dont wanna come across as being stereotype when it comes to coaches and allowances?

From Keshi, to Siasia, to Oliseh , to Amuneke ..., they all had issues except for the white man. Even our players are not helping matters. And that is why I never supported Enyeama in all the mess that happened cos we sold out authority and discipline on the altar of sentiments. Where is the respect for the local team coach? Once our players get to Europe, they forget that the National team played (or can and will still play) a part in their careers. Where is Enyeama now? Story for another day....

A lot of things come into play when it comes to choosing local coaches. Give Siasia these same set of boys and watch them play like crazy. Give oliseh the same set of boys all things being equal, you will see sound tactics. But when it comes to them choosing their players, its either nepotism, federal character or some useless "my boys" philosophy. Press and Media nko?

When we are ready, we will do the right thing. Nobody should make excuses of Rohr prepared the team for only 2years. Thats mediocrity speaking. If you a tactician, you will know your teams problems and work on it immediately. When our goalies were busy messing up, who taught him to send goalie trainer to Uzoho? And mind you he did this in a short time. Imagine if he had been doing that since day 1?

Long story short, if this team crashes out of this world cup, life will go on. Heck, when the Nations cup qualifiers start, we will still support them. We will all see the error of our ways and know that nothing is cast in stone. Please dont give up just yet.....

From our starting eleven, only Ndidi and iwobi can start for Senegal. Ndidi to partner Alfred Ndiaye while Iwobi plays in front of them.

Moses cant make the team because he doesnt play Senegal kinda game. U saw how niang a good dribbler was spraying passes and chasing down lose balls unlike our mister aimless dribbler. Niang plays for the team, Moses doesnt.

AFCON 2019 will be spectacular I kid you not...since its going to be held in Cameroon I am considering passport preparations. If we cannot go to Russia at least we can still watch our black WC

The "most fortunate" actually. Ghana were "the best" at WC 2010 but have never conquered Africa with that Squad. The best in Africa are those who win the Afcon and can also try translate it on the world stage. It is unfortunate Cameroon were in our group in WC Qualifying.

There is an element of luck (or as I put it most fortunate) needed, But even if u gift some teams with an easy group they would still blow the opportunity.
