So I was standing somewhere around park in Aba Abia State and noticed something strange....

A public bus being use for waste disposal by the state environmental protection agency...

I didn't quite get this...Why should they use this of all things for waste disposal?

Someone should help explain this...

We have every reason to bother about this.. a responsible government/government agency shouldn't be reduce to it...

Try and see things from another perspective. Leaving the environment dirty or using this bus for waste disposal which one is better?

This is so unhygienic and uncalled for, just imagine the level of public exhibition of nonsense. And they are all there comfortably seated as if they were carrying some loaves of bread. I bet my left nyash on this, this bus wasn't made for garbage disposal because I saw when Ikpeazu purchased some trucks for such works. Before now, Abia used to be a refuse dump till Okezie Ikpeazu began his transformation and caterpillar revolution. This same thing could be likened to police extortion of which we know it's never an order from the IG's desk. These people are trying to tarnish the image of the ever hard working government of Abia state. Op, is such a diplomatic well meaning Nigerian who didn't blame it on the state government, because he knows the governments may be unaware of the situation. As a well meaning Abian who loves this present administration, I pray the state government to look into this matter because it sabotages OVI's effort at ridding the state of the mess she used to be known for. OVI TILL 2023.

Definitely you have some valid points here...but every Government Agency ought to have proper checks and balances that curtains things like this...

Refuse dispersal and collection remains an issue in Aba, as many collection points remains an eyesore despite whatever good intentions the government of the day might have....

Even the caterpillar revolution is not going the way it should as many streets and roads in Aba remains untouched after caterpillar visitation causing untold hardship to the residents of such areas...

We are still far in governance in this country, and until government at both state and local government level puts their together, Nigeria as a nation will go no where...

Then what is it biko?.... This bus is solely meant for public transportation or movement of staffs of the agency....Why should they convert it to waste collection van?

I mean who does that?

Your points are made clear, but what you have to understand is that the head of these agencies can never be everywhere. The caterpillar revolution is perfectly working, it's just that the decay in the state nearly got to a point of no return as every nook and cranny of the state got affected. The level of decay before the present administration came on board makes it nearly impossible for you to believe that anything is actually happening. The caterpillar revolution can get to every where at the same time, it's a poko a poko. something.

The intentions of the caterpillar may be genuine but the way they are going about it is wrong....

If you look around , you will see obvious signs of projects that will never be done and you begin to wonder why they have to be everywhere at the same time...

this is upon issues of salaries for workers at different levels mainly teachers and pensioners not bn taken care of....

the projects are littered all across the 17 local government of Abia State, some on appear to be on a speedy pace whereas some appear to be slow. The slow ones may be as a result low fund input, the reason being that the workload is heavier than the income. Not workers at different levels because I know that the MDAs are upto date. When this government came on board, OVI paid off 11months backlog of salaries within his first three months in office. So the issues of salaries will all be settled as soon as possible. You may wonder why I support this government so much? I was born and raised in Aba, ah swear to the streets that I've never seen it this good in Abia before.

While I don't know your position in Ikpeazus government...... I must state clearly that some of his caterpillar projects are clearly now abandoned projects

Some of these are littered across different roads/streets along Aba-Owerri road....

I'm Aba born and a family member is also a salary earner under this government and I must say, paying them now is a big big issue.....Government shouldn't be run like this...

I rest my case....

I understand you, bruv. The caterpillar revolution is a continuous improvement, it has never been "abandoned", the government is still working. Some areas he wanted to do was later discovered as contracts that has been awarded so many times by NDDC, so he can't just damble into them like that. Just be calm, I'm glad your comments shows that something new is happening in Abia, all you ask for is greater effort. I rest my case too.
