A Nigerian lady, Adeotan Krownie Osunyosade, has died, almost exactly a month after her wedding.

Krownie, who was pregnant, reportedly collapsed and died, yesterday, after complaining of leg pains.

So sad. Could she have died of high BP or hepatitis B aka the silent killer? I feel deeply for her husband and parents.

To all the commenters below me, not everything has to do with village people. Make una let them rest from false accusations.

In Nigeria, people just drop and die like house flies...
Nobody should type 'it is well' because it won't have been well if it were your sister that just dropped dead...

What a great heartbreak for the husband and family.

May we not have this kind of encounter with destiny and may God console the families.

It's high bp that associates with pregnancy. It's a pity, she didn't take it serious.

During pregnant stages, some women bp rises up and down at wil with no control switch. sad

May her soul rest in peace.

She complained of leg pain?? Haba...this is classic textbook DVT.

Cause of death: Pulmonary Embolism (PE) secondary to Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) associated with pregnancy.

Yes pregnancy is a hypercoagulable state and induces blood clots.

Layman's term: she developed a clot that started in her leg, when she complained of leg pain, no one took her serious enough to head to nearest Accidents and Emergency room where she could have gotten IV heparin. Didn't get treated, the clot migrated to her lungs and stopped oxygen to lung and heart = immediate death.

Lesson: complaints of leg pain (especially unprovoked by definitive injury) should be DVT until proven wrong. Also, complaints of chest pain and difficult breathing should be ruled PE until proven wrong.

People DVT and PE are real emergencies (along with heart attacks). Totally treatable and avoidable death. RIP child.

If you didn't know,...........now you know.

Every well trained doctor should be able to present cases in this manner.

Afterall, we not only treat, we educate too.

To be a good doctor is to be a great educator/teacher.

And not too many doctors know how to educate/teach, hence the reason why we have many medical errors to detriment of patients, sometimes fatal.
