Nigeria had the most commanding qualification performance ever for a World Cup. Even the 1994 team had to rely on goal difference to edge out Cote D'Ivoire after they were tied on points. 1998, it was one point. 2002, we needed a big favour from Ghana to beat Liberia in Monrovia to put us into a commanding position.

2010, we had to wait till the last game to edge Tunisia. 2014, we relied on a new qualification format and were so lucky to get Ethiopia, a weak African team, to make it.

2018 is the only time we qualified with a game to spare and a lead that was so commanding, even the award of the last game to Algeria by default did not affect us. Rohr was the coach that achieved this and if we give him the 5 years we gave Westerhof, he will do great things for us.

Experience has shown me that coaching is actually an oyinbo thing, we are not gifted in that area at all. in football, we blacks thrive better in other areas except goal keeping and coaching.

Truth be told the coach should have brought in Iwobi earlier than he did...our defense was just too porous for my liking..

Watching soccer does not mean you all understand the game. At least, if your attackers can't score you need to defend your goal post. There were couple of tactical blunders in this match. The 3-5-2 formation against a team like Argentina would over-stretch the defence. You need two flank defenders cum overlapping defenders. Before the end of the first half, Idowu was already exhausted. The two goals were initiated from his side. Moses experience with that formation at Chelsea helped him but a single slack from him cost us the second goal. We needed at least a substitution in the defense and midfield. Etebo cannot hold the ball and move forward intelligently. You already have Mikel as ball holder. Then change Etebo for Iwobi who can hold ball and move it forward to take pressure of the defense. Ighalo only scored in 3 matches out of 11 last matches he played in China. He does not deserve to be our striker. Any day, Iheanacho is a better choice because he connects with midfield easily. The coach cost us the match. Why didn't he stick with the formation that won us the friendly against Argentina. In the interview after the Iceland match, he said the team is being built for 2022, apparently he was not in Russia to win. Then why waste your time and energy qualifying. We don't need a foreign coach. A local coach took us into the second round in 2014.

What statement? Your local coach took us into the second round in 2014. What did your foreign coach achieved in this World cup. Lost almost all friendlies before the World Cup, lost 2 of 3 world cup matches. In a country of 180 million, he brought in a striker that only scored in 3 matches in last 11 matches in the Chinese league. Our local league top scorer would have done better. Rohr is not good enough. Any foreign coach that cannot qualify us for the second round should not be retained. I prefer local coaches. If Rohr is fired today, he will quickly get another job with another mugu African country . That's what they always do. He once coached an African team.

Imagine Victor Moses our best player @ the qualifiers is easily dispossessed off the ball, and falls @ every little contact, the Chinese imports mikel(wrong passes) & Ighalo(blew a one on one) were totally off. Iheanacho(lost a clear cut opportunity) @ a point he was playing against Nigeria, Etebo hold on to the ball for too long, and ended up losing it.

This boys are not serious, imagine in our last match, after Musa scored the 2nd goal, instead of Ighalo celebrating he was busy looking @ the coach to quickly bring him in, and when Musa was about scoring the 2nd goal Iheanacho was busy calling him to pass the ball to him. In conclusion we new our boys were not too good. We were deceived when they defeated the African Champions. We should leave out Ighalo, Onazi and Mikel from the team, and keep the others.
