itoba4real: According to him, “If you go to the Baro River port now, you will not meet anybody there. The facility has abandoned. Reptiles have taken over the terminals. It is a ghost town cut off from this world with no activity taken place there. Jona as usual was useless and incompetent, he built the port, but forgot to build access road to reach the port, he did not even buy cargo handling equipment for the port. Now, of what use is the place if you can not reach the port by road to load and transfer goods and supplies? This is the kind of insane and incompetent rubbish worthless Jona saddled us with and what we are correcting everyday. ...but what do you ignorant Igbos know anyways.. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

NafeesaAA:ordinarily this would have been good news even though the talk of 2million jobs is just thrash of political propaganda, the issue is has the dredging of river Niger completed down to the open ocean? if this has not been done then it's all just a wild goose chase, I know buhari is very desperate to give his kinsmen strong advantages in every aspect of the nation's affairs but it's not just by desire or might but by strategic thinking, planning n execution, northerners will be shocked to realize that effective inland water transport will actually favour the southerners especially igbos better than anyone else, just think of a functional inland port at onitsha n the igbo dominance of the import export business, so it's not a bad idea after all. 2 Likes |

selemempe: At the bolded, of wat benefit is the north to Nigeria? Most of our agric exports are from south...fish, cocoa, oil palm, casava. We dont export cattle onions and tomatos ...these are wat only the north is exclusive rich at. The north has however visited every region of nigeria including the north itself with sorrow tears and blood Of what benefit is your education to your brain Where do you think Sesame, Gum Arabic, Soyabean and Flour (Wheat) are grown? Nnewi abi Onitsha? Ginger and Cotton nko? "We don't export cattle yen yen yen yen".... so you thought the rich northern leather that brings in hundreds of millions of $$$ yearly is gotten from PIGS? You people think because northerners are naturally not chestbeaters, we do not contribute to this country That's how you people just embarrass your alma mater with hatred and bigotry fuelled ignorance. The Niger port is here to stay.

Str8talk21: Your ports are in Otueke. You lack the moral right to demand development and equal attention from an "illiterate cattle rearer from Daura" Buhari knows the people that gave him their mandate, and they're definitely not complaining of infrastructural projects. Continue playing yourselves. |

Lol...there was movements of a lot of heavy equipment during Jonathan's era. This one does not compensate for scores of people dying from Plateau to Benue to Zamfara. PMB is a total failure and there is no redemption for him, and P.S movements of heavy equipment doesn't really mean anything. 1 Like |

deomelo:To zombies like you, everyone who's view does not tally with yours is ipob, for your information I'm a northern Christian minority ,I don't n won't support buhari because of his clear bias in thought n actions but in his continued bias he would eventually n inadvertently work to the benefits of those he thinks he want to place at disadvantage, you have your reasons for supporting him but continue, now go ahead n insult me again. 1 Like |

FriendNG: DECONGESTION INDEED, If decongestion was an issue, why are they not promoting the redirection of cargo ships to Calabar Port? The money spent to acquire these equipment can dredge and re-dredge Calabar seaport, over and over again. The lie wasn't well packaged. I also ear that cargo heading to the inland port are not inspeced in lagos port; cheap means to smuggle arms to their jahadist footsoldiers who would all soon be buried. 1 Like |
