I want to give it up to all the mothers and not here. We deserve to blow our trumpets if no one does it for us. Especially those involved in one business or the other, even the SAHM God bless you all real big and your labour of love will not be in vain.

So I have been having a stressful few weeks coming back from work and doing chores and all. Even weekends are not exempted cos before you blink, Saturday and Sunday is gone and it's back to the rat race. Anyways yesterday I got back home at past 8pm, opened the door and met a pool of water that had gone round the whole house. Apparently either I or hubby had left the tap on when it was not running so when the pumped water, it overflowed from the sink. I tried to put down my baby so I could start scooping the water and also because my back was hurting from carrying her( btw who knows what I can use for my back? It literally kills me. I have to mentally prepare myself before I stand if I have been sitting for more than 10mins. This started after I had put to bed). So I thought the water pooled only in the kitchen but lo and behold, it was everywhere. Even my clothes which I flung on the floor in the room before I left to work in the morning and my wigs too were not spared. The centre rug in the sitting room nko? I was weak. Okay this girl sit somewhere let me look for how to clean this mess, na lie. She was screaming so loudly so I had to back her again then carried bucket and packer to start scooping the water. It was in this position hubby met me. Immediately he said Babe what happened, I tried to answer and next thing I started bawling like a baby. Like angry and bitter tears embarassed embarassed. I was just so tired. The man quickly collected the madam at my back and carried her on his back (yes o, hubby dey back him pikin. No be only me born her) and asked me to go lie down. I was still crying cos at that point, I just wanted away from it all. Like I needed a time out from wifehood and motherhood. The mental exhaustion had taken it's toll. Hubby later came to ask me if I would eat and I said no. I just wanted to rest. He understood and gave her Majesty her bath and fed her. I did not even know when I slept off and only woke up around 4am this morning..Still feeling the exhaustion. Na only God go helep person for this journey.
this story really touched. It's so not easy.ay God bless every mothers out there. And fathers too

Not delicate o, and they find it more comfortable especially when they are being disturbed by colic or may be after taking one painful immunisation. Let me say its a relief to crankiness.

Spiceeamiee weldone mama. I believe we all get that moment every once in awhile that u get so exhausted n wish u could just get a little break from being a wife n mother. I've been in that corner a couple of times myself especially since they became two. In fact during one of such episodes I actually asked myself "who send me marry sef? " grin no more "me time".during such moments, it helps if u have someone that can help stay with the kid(s) so u can be by urself n rest even if for a couple of hours like ur dh did. N it feels better to hear other mothers share their experiences too n know u'r not alone in the struggle, that u'r not a failure, or a bad mother ; that u'r only human. It's well with us jare. In fact i'm in a somewhat similar spot right now; i'm tired of chores n i've been piling laundry for almost 2wks now. Even though na machine wash, it won't operate itself n I still need to starch some n spread them on the line embarassed it gets tiring atimes but then when we'r fine n thinking normally again, we know it's all worth it n that's why we keep going that journey (motherhood) over n over again smiley so my sis, i'm hugging u frm here kiss kiss n to all mothers here n everywhere in the world I say WELDONE, may God ease our affairs n make these children the coolness of our eyes. We shall never weep over them inshaAllaah. Ameen.

my mil also backed my baby on the 7th day, on her naming day. She told me a gist of a woman that her baby was stolen from his cot during naming day. So she said, cos of the plenty crowd that will be going and coming that day, she'd rather back her to avoid stories that touch lol. That was the only time she backed her sha but she didn't spread her legs at all so that the shape of the legs will not change. since the bones are still very much tender. I even started backing my baby at 1 months.

Just like you, I now use warm water to clean my baby's bum when I'm at home. I'm on my third carton of huggies wipe! shocked
Lol at stolen baby. Those old women are funny grin

Its warm water at home and wipe when on outing o to avoid stories that touch and my baby can poo ehn sometimes when I'm still in the process of changing the diaper , she will keep pooing sad I thought they said babies on exclusive breast milk don't poo? ... grin it is well .

Please mamas is it safe backing a child that is not up to a month? My mum in law started backing my baby on the 7th day i felt somehow and told my hubby I didn't like it but he said there was no implication that it was safe. Please how true is this? I hope my baby's legs won't be affected?

Also, regarding baby wipes for wiping baby poo, I have exhausted 2 packs already in 2weeks sad please is there something I'm not getting right? I've decided to start washing her bum with warm water when I'm home before any diaper change and then use the wipe when I'm out cos this buhari economy is not smiling hope I'm on track? grin

My baby was backed for the first time at 6 days old. I had a very important exam to write so my mum waited for me outside with my baby on her back, and since that day he has never gone a day without having a feel of my back. The only thing is don't spread her legs yet cos her bones aren't strong enough.

At 8 months we are on our 9th angel baby wipes though we use water at home sometimes but this weather ehn I can't use cold water on him because of how many pieces of wipes.

I started backing my princess when she was a week but I didn't spread her legs till she was 4months.

About the wipe,it was like that for me too. But as she got older it reduced. I feel the weather is too cold for water now though

My flask is 4 litres. grin I boil and keep water in it for this purpose. I also still boil water down inside the biggest pot reserved for baby bath only. We never run out of hot water especially this period that's cold.

Btw I love love this weather. kiss kiss I can be assured of my full night's sleep now, even when AEDC decide to crase. cool grin I wish heat would never return..

@spiceeamiee you are not alone ma.., that's how I feel these days. I just need help. pls any mama with remedy to the back pain should tell us cos I always have back/waist pain which started since I gave birth.

In other news, my baby's creche is beginning to bring new policies now.. First, they've stopped us from entering the class, I get to drop and pick her outside (no worries here).

They are keen on me feeding baby before bringing her to school and I noticed that if I don't they won't give her till past 9 or 10. There are days I have to leave home early and my baby doesn't like her food rushed. She prefers to wake, play a lil before eating that way she won't be too fussy with food.
Her food today seems like she didn't eat much.
Also I was told I'll pay #500 if I'm 30mins late to pick her. Are these the normal way it's done or my own is overdoing it cos I think they need clearing o.

Mamas pls chook mouth

He would be fine before the day runs out. Just continue petting and rocking him. It's not easy. It's the Penta Immunisation that's making him cranky and cry. You can mop him with a wet towel to bring down the temperature too. Weldone mama.

Check if the diapers is touching the site.
Also,if carrying or handling the site affects the child.
Try placing,a wet baby towel on the sites, don't press.
If after ,2days of immunization, the child is acting weird or getting sicker, pls take back to the centre, he was immunized.
