Good morning house. Trust we had a wonderful night.
I gained admission to university of Bayreuth on 28/06/2018
I applied for visa about 4:16 p.m on Friday 29/06/2018 but I am yet receive response from the embassy.
What can cause this delay.
And what is my chance of getting a date that will still allow me to travel for my course this year.
Positive answers pls
Thank you as I wait your kind response

Lol. Do you want "positive" answers or do you want people to objectively tell you the intricacies of your current situation?

If what you mean is being objective but not rude then I second that notion. However, your wording didn't do just justice to what you actually mean.

To answer your question, most times the embassy won't reply to your email if by the slightest chance there's something wrong with your format. Say for example, if you don't attach the correct documents, or if you send to the wrong email. It would just be ignored.

Take time out to carefully make sure that your documents are correct. Also, if your school's enrollment deadline is before October then you're most likely to be ignored as well. If you can, get an enrolement extention and attach it to the email you intend to use to book for a visa appointment.

Lastly, no one can tell you for sure what your chances are of making it to school this year. All that will depend on your visa interview date, length of visa processing, and a host of other factors.

Hello house, i will be applying to studying in Germany soon, however, i want to know if there is an avenue for student to engage in extra curricular activities like sports. Cos football for me is an addiction.

So the question is can i study and play ball at the same time in Germany?

Please a response in needed ASAP

Look I get the common conception is that you gotta hustle 1000 percent in Germany. But come on now, a couple of hours on Saturday to play soccer and unwind ain't gonna kill nobody. Body no be firewood oh.

Lol. Na body go even tell you when you get here.

You can't get a date with this write up.
It's too long and there's no address.
Sample:
Name: Okafor Ibrahim Olusola
Address: No 40, Thread 5 street, German Visa City, Nairaland State.
Attached are my admission letter, passport and block account opening confirmation.

No much write up. You might be ignored if you write too much.

Also use an unambiguous subject eg;
APPLICATION FOR VISA BOOKING DATE
APPLICATION FOR VISA INTERVIEW
APPLICATION FOR STUDENT VISA INTERVIEW
APPLICATION FOR STUDENT VISA BOOKING
APPLICATION FOR STUDENT VISA BOOKING DATE.

Just vary it a bit.
It wouldn't be smart for 1000 people to be using exactly the same Subject.

If you are using SL indicate it and remove BA I quoted.

It's funny how you said the bolded part as if you work in the embassy. Personally I don't feel there's any right or wrong way to request for appointment. The major thing is that you provide the information they asked for. There's a probability he hasn't gotten a date yet because he applied on Friday evening, which is a weekend... (have you thought about that?) I applied on a Thursday night, Friday was a German holiday, I got my date on Monday which coincidentally was a Nigerian holiday! So there's a possibility he might still get his date today.

And talking about the address, I sent mine as Surulere Lagos. Embassy asked of place of residence, and not residential address...

Abeg let's stop saying things that we might not be sure of as if they are facts! My two cents. Peace

On a lighter note, abeg who is Okafor Ibrahim Olusola? The only acceptable name is Adekunle Ciroma Chukwuma! When you are in Nigeria, you behave like Nigerians. Lol

You are absolutely right.
Why I actually wrote that is because it happened to my friend.
He was writing and providing to many explanations.
Embassy ignored him.
When he was corrected by a friend, he just provided the information that was requested and he got a date.
Well, I was too blunt sha, so many factors have to be considered too.
Thanks for the correction, let's see how his own goes.
My prayer is that he gets a date.

I might not know much but little I know of any Jena and Chemitz, Siegen is better. But what should determine your final decision is the course and program module. Don't go where you gonna struggle to graduate from.
But if you ask me, if you'd prayerfully gone about this, am not sure man is the best to make that decision for you. My point is pray about it seriously and let be led by God.
