NefT:
Hello all! I am in the process of filling my DS160 form. I am open to any location for my visa interview. However, I would prefer Lagos and a date before 24th July using the expedite/quick appointment option if it will be possible because I am applying for the first time.
My question: must I click Lagos consulate in the drop down menu when starting a new ds160 and generating a code? I am asking because I am afraid that I might not be able to choose Abuja dates when booking appointment if I decided to opt for that location due to possibility of not getting my Lagos desired date.
If I were to book an appointment for Abuja, must I start with Abuja embassy from the beginning of the DS160 code generation or is it that the location you choose prior to checking for Available dates on the visa appointment page does not affect your ability to navigate the site and view available dates in Lagos consulate and Abuja embassy?
Thanks as I anticipate your timely response...
I am still earnestly waiting for a reply, someone should please reply....

From what I can see, your answers have been convincing enough but what I feel you failed to do in your previous interview was ask the VO why you were being issued the blue paper. All your responses were accurate and excellent in my opinion so there shouldn't have been a denial. I hope you get accepted in your next interview but in case the VO is trying to be funny and issues you a denial, protest by simply asking him why the blue paper given that all the information you gave and documents are accurate.

You people keep saying this thing "having this degree will place me in a better competitive position with others in the field". This may work in Nigeria but it is not a good enough reason for the embassy to grant you a visa. There are at least 5 other better reasons that you can give for deciding on a degree. Where do your interest and ambitions and career plans come in before you are thinking of competing with other people in your field?

Bsc to Bsc is possible but more difficult.... and then one Bsc in Mcb and you want to go for another MCB.

You do know that very difficult to sell or did I read it wrong . I am not discouraging you but your response has to be on point for this to sell

Quota is some thing different

There is a "rumor" because I don't know if it confirmed.

For F1 who have been recently denied / refused visa , when you try to reschedule it blocks you and say no appointment is available. So technically not allowing anyone who has been refused to apply within 6 months

I have this experience also... since May8 2018, v not bn able to reschedule my F1 appointment but others can.

V called the customer care several times... they only say I should keep checking n that appointments date are made available by the Consular... Am tayad sef

Then maybe you should have applied for this and a masters... get the visa with a masters and make the switch inside the US .... one Bsc to another in exactly the same field might not be the best idea

Just practise and prepare well for your interview . Others have gotten like this so it possible even if it not the recommended approach

Middle Tennessee State University will offer you funding for fall 2019. They accept lot of Nigerians and Chemistry Dept offer GA alot. All the best in your next applications.

Gospelozy:
Good evening all. Its with heavy heart that I type this. I really thought I would make it for fall 2018, but it's so unfortunate for me.
All my applications for Ms in chemistry for Fall was denied, no single school accepted me. But I believe that nothing good comes easy.
Please I need all gurus advice on these questions:
1. Which term should I apply for Spring or fall 2019?
2. Suggestion of schools that fund for Ms in Chemistry.
3. Study materials for GRE & TOEFL.
4. Can I switch from chemistry to health science?

Please assist a heavy heart.
Thank you in anticipation.

sorry about your denial bro. i feel your pain. I know what it feels like personally. However, i would prefer you work on your answers and take at least a standardized test. More so, your answers felt rude kinda to me. Which one be No, no, no. What happened to Not really, or not at all, or No, I did not. No, No, No sounds boring and to be it attracts the blue paper more.

I didn't have time to vet the entirety of your transcript sha, but you have to work on your answers.
I wish you the best bro. Keep pushing. It will end in praise
