Run cleaner, restart the phone, install any pending update.......

Updates are released to fix such small small issues here and there.

I personally recommend installing all updates one week after they are released.

Try this to confirm if it is hardware related:

Remove any earpiece from the phone and navigate to this page: settings>additional settings>headphones and audio effects

Is any of the earphones enabled?

Try update to the current rom (MIUI 9.5.4).

Some might suggest you change your region to India and then check for updates. For me, my region has been Nigeria since last year and I received all the updates.

For ntel customers here, I get my sim displaying 4g but it can't browse. Though I registered today and I got a message that it has been credited with 1k this evening but can't browse. If I want to login to their portal I can't login in too. Can this be from them or I have to wait a little bit more to allow full activation or am not doing something right? Thanks
