Unending journey

I remembered vividly November 1987 one evening our neighbors in enugu,the late Dr ubaka breezed into town with his polish optican wife,5 half caste children and two Volkswagen kombi bus and one vw pickup,they drove all the way from Poland to enugu then old anambra state,from the stories and pics u saw the most challenging part of the journey will be crossing the Sahara desert,this people did this when there is a bit stability in that region,but now with failed states like Libya and islamists jihadist roaming the region it will be a dangerous journey,the Paris Dakar rally was shifted out of that route because of insecurity.

This a journey that I did not want to go Solo. As a result there is just one problem with the journey, 9ja people are too afraid even of thier own shadows.

I have done my research the most difficult, risky treacherous and dangerous part of the journey is getting into Nigeria after crossing the border at Seme now your problems start, first of all no more night driving, Etc. Your probability hazard risk factors goes up 10 times fold comparative to 8 African countries you have just driven through.

The last video is a group of crazy guys who used vespa's not even Okada but vespa.

So you can see the problem is one of indepth ignorance and l guess culture. There is no money to be made just am adventure.

From 2006-2019.

A majority of the folks on this thread were last seen 2006, 2007. Demographics have changed and content as well.
Nairaland was a lot more mature d in content back then. I don't think this road trip suggestion is worth giving a single thought to now. Rather take sniper in your bedroom instead and save yourself the cost and stress.
