Check playstore auto download settings or go to security app/data usage / select sim/ restrict data usage scroll down to system apps and enable playstore.

You can also clear data/ cache of your playstore.

Are you on Chinese rom?

So I finally got hold of my redmi note 5 from maceybyland, very nice dude.
I updated the software to mui 9.5.13.0 immediately I inserted my sim. However, I noticed that the battery is not as good as y'all are taunting to be here. My redmi 4x battery lasts longer compare with note 5 pro. Heck even my old fashioned redmi 4a battery would give this note 5 run for it's money.
Could this be software issue or the battery isn't good?

probably the network you are using on the phone has bad service in that your vicinity and thats what is draining your battery faster.

i'm doing 8hrs SOT on that phone with low brightness. i have dual 4G on sef, NTEL/MTN

i didn't turn off the MIUI optimizations yet sef.

So, I did a backup and then a factory reset on my device. I've copied the backup file back into the MIUI folder, but I can't seem to see how to restore the backup. Help, please.

PS: I followed Jboixxx's instructions all through.

Finally found the right procedure!

Turned out I needed to create paths in the memory to access the restore data. I added two new folders within MIUI folder.

MIUI/Backup/Allbackup, then pasted the copied backup folder into the 'Allbackup' folder before the backup could be recognized under 'Local Backup'.

Phew! Too much research wee not kee me. grin

How far? The backup folder, by default, is named in numericals only and should be in a folder AllBackup which should be in backup of MIUI! In simpler form, the location should be like this:internal shared storage>MIUI>backup>AllBackup>the numerically named folder. If your backed up folder isn't located like this, you won't be able to restore.

You will restore from the app you backed up from; same process, just select the backed up file from the app and click Restore.

This will not restore your WhatsApp chats as it doesn't back up your WhatsApp chats. You'll have to copy your WhatsApp folder from your phone to your PC or you do cloud backup.

So i went to ikeja post office to collect some items that came in on monday and tuesday, while i was there a lady was arguing with the woman in charge at the collection center ( the one dat writes the receipt) seems some of her items have been returned.

She said there is a new law nw that after one week from the date of arrival an unclaimed item will be returned.

I nw asked her abt items that are untracked, she jst shrugged her shoulders and gave an i dont care look, saying someone has to come every week to d post office to know if d parcel has arrived or not, unless u av a loyal post man dat notifies u, unlike me post office has bever called me once. I go there to get my stuffs cos i always choose a trackable tracking number.

Lesson here is this as fibonnacci has been stressing for months nw, try to pay for shipping to avoid stories, and nw that items will be returned after one week, ur free shipping is as good as money gone down d drain.
