You mean MIUI 10 cos there is no Oreo for your device yet. Wait until the stable version rolls out.

Will do that. Though I don't u understand what you mean by the last paragraph.

Your phone came with android 7, but you updated to android 8 which should normally be done through clean install and not OTA, hence the bugs. So only factory reset can solve it.

Don't bother backing up any apps/ settings. Backup only your documents and other data to an external drive
