Try another Gcam mod by another developer. On a second thought, if it's the redmi note 4(x), it might be that your device is part of the batch with omnivision camera sensor. Do a search on the net, especially on xda, you should get pointers there.

Why rush to update? You should have used for at least a day or two before updating. Definitely you've got some bugs from the update, do a factory reset and see if there is any improvements.

You downloaded the oroe update. So just factory reset as they only have the fastboot rom now (9.5.14.0) and no recovery rom

Check playstore auto download settings or go to security app/data usage / select sim/ restrict data usage scroll down to system apps and enable playstore.

You can also clear data/ cache of your playstore.

Are you on Chinese rom?

It seems the problem is with the download app settings.
