The accident happened yesterday evening in front of Pleasure park in PHC

It happened as a result of a pedestrian trying to cross the road without looking

The bikers name is Elvis

He’s a Biker with Hardridaz MC

His passenger was obviously wearing an oversized helmet hence the flip off before the crash

Elvis has ridden all over Nigeria without any accident

Elvis is still ALIVE and in the hospital

Pls get your facts straight before coming to spew rubbish on NL

We no dey learn sha. Naija does not have the emergency rapid response or adequately manned and equipped ICUs to indulge in risky sports like power biking, motor racing or other extreme sports. That's what life mean when you are living like you don't care. You need to see how this power bike guys behave so invincible, from one club to be the other, it's just expensive way they can afford to die. But my heart breaks for that innocent man they killed

That theory sounds lame. If the guy makes it out alive from the Hospital he may face charges of manslaughter amongst others.

The only road you can really enjoy speed in Port Harcourt is that Mgbuoba - Airport road recently completed and that should be in the dry season.

PS. There are about at least 3 police checkpoints and OPM church on that road so speeding is not advisable.

We live and ride, checking from this pictures I'm certain the accident was caused by the pedestrian, I see this happen almost on a daily basis where you will horn and even rev the engine and people would still decide to walk right in front of a fast moving bike as if the braking of a bike is supposed to be instant, most times when this happen I ride really close to the person and give him a good slap while on motion. Riding a power bike is not a death wish people its a passion for the machines.

Nothing wrong with riding power bikes.....but more speed means more danger... less room for mistakes... higher risk for serious injuries or death...and what makes it wayyyy worse is there are soooo many hazards on the roads. ....potholes...oil spills.... animals ....and as in this case.... people who are not traffic conscious.
At pics...don't agree with posting pics of victims..but guess for ID...it can help. Guess they got their nnecks broken since riders usually get a whole heap of body injuries if riding fast.

Gosh...may their souls find rest.

I always tell people..."Okada na Okada" no matter the customization and padding. Can't forget the broken elbow I suffered from one in The Netherlands...I saw all my dead acquaintances and back...

Nigerians these days cross road without looking right and left. I saw two women with children on their backs, gisting at the middle of a bend on a street, if I weren't a careful driver, thats how I would have hit them off the ground. I had to press brakes, with my horn in full volume. Story and gist don carry their Brain away. Who forgets themselves and gist at the middle of the road.

May God help us to be safety conscious in this country.

Na by helmet? If u are riding such bikes u shld be on full body protective gear. Unless u dont want to speed.

d first thing is that, such bikes aren't meant 4 our regular roads because of their speed. Their are all sorts of obstacles that could cause disaster 4 such a fast moving machine. If not being used on race tracks, should only b used in remote areas on roads with little or no traffic. D problem is that d owners of these bikes are supposed 2b educated on how these bikes are used abroad. FRSC isnt helping matters as it care about safety by enforcing speed limit. D only thing they enforce is seat belt. Seat belt is not 100% guaranteed just like helmet especially when its a case of overspeeding

Power bikes are meant for regular road bro, i commute to work daily on power bike covering 100km to and fro every working day for the past 2 years and I mind my riding, though sometimes the spirit of the power bike enters you but when you remember that you are out in the open without protection you will caution yourself forget all that helmet and kit o na only you fit protect yourself by riding safe.

For the records they are not couples, the rider was alone, his brakes failed and he hit two people a male and female. The girl happens to be our student. This is another loss for Uniport.

This is very unfortunate. A man and his female partner have been killed in a fatal accident which reportedly happened early this morning in Rivers state.

The couple were said to be on a power bike before the accident occurred near Bori Camp (Aba road) in Rumukpakolosi, Port Harcourt, the state capital.

The couple died instantly according to reports as another person who was trying to cross the road was also hit and killed by the speeding motorcycle and his leg crushed in the process.

The three victims are yet to be identified as their pictures were shared online in a bid to locate their families and relations.
