5 Popular Bus Stops Within Abuja by Abujafood: 7:13pm On Nov 20, 2013
These bus stops were chosen based on how well known and strategic;

A.Y.A (Asokoro District)
When arriving Abuja from the Nyanya Axis, A.Y.A the popular bus stop in Asokoro district is the first you’ll run into this very popular and busy bus stop. It’s just adjacent the flyover bridge connecting Ecowas Secretariat with parts of Guzape district and parts of Asokoro close to the presidential villa. If you’re coming into Abuja from Lafia you must run into A.Y.A

Area 1 (Garki District)
One of the oldest and busiest bus stops in Abuja. Area 1 bus stop connects to Durumi, Garki, Galadimawa, Lugbe, Wuse and even Asokoro districts. From here you can pick a bus heading to almost any part of Abuja. But be careful when crossing the road or bridge especially during rush hours as some motorists drive recklessly.

Berger (Wuse/Utako)
It might be safe to say Berger bus stop in sandwiched between Zone 6 in Wuse district and parts of Utako. It’s a very busy bus stop which becomes a mini market at nights as traders occupy vantage positions along the road to attract pedestrians and sometimes motorists. Be on the lookout though for miscreants.

Nicon Junction (Maitama District)
On your way to Gwarinpa from Berger is Nicon junction. Named after Transcorp Hilton (formerly Nicon Hilton Hotel) it is the entry point – if you may – into Maitama district for most pedestrians or workers in Abuja who don’t own cars.

Banex (Wuse 2)

There are two axis for this bus stop. One is via cab through Wuse Market terminating at Aminu Kano Crescent directly adjacent to Banex Plaza while the other is along the highway after the Kado-Wuse 2 link bridge. If you’re looking for the easiest way to link Wuse by Public transport from Area 1, Gwarinpa or Jabi then you should know about Banex.

Kubwa first gate, second gate, area 3 junction, dei dei junction, NYSC, after corner, mabuchi, dutse junction, Zuba after corner, giri junction, Arab express, Zuba college of education, etc.

Talking about strategic, none beats GIRI junction as it links so many parts of Abuja. North, east, west and south. Name it.
